Ladbrokes Mega Multi Maiden Plate 2400m
Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Eye Tracker, Grinding Away and Sobine to control the tempo. EYE TRACKER (11) beat home GAELIC KIWI (6) when they clashed here over 2470m last start. They jumped virtually the same price and there wasn't much in it but Eye Tracker was the better run and maps better again from the soft gate which clearly gives her the edge once more. Gaelic Kiwi is going well and the run two back at Geelong says he could even go a little better. CHURCHILLENA (10) has only raced twice but looks one that will keep improving over further having drawn for a good run. BALDONI (2) wasn't beaten far at Seymour latest and is in the mix from SOBINE (9) who was behind the top pair last time but had been solid prior. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eye Tracker to win. |

Elegance Tiles Maiden Plate 1700m
They should run this along with Rockzino and Vespasian taking it up over Collectionneur. ABAYA (12) made her debut at Sale and caught the eye with a strong finish in a fast-run race, finishing third to Cignetti who was well backed and a luckless second last Saturday. She looks a staying type who could be on an Oaks path so up to 1700m should be perfect. ROCKZINO (8) has finished third in all three runs to date, not beaten all that far here last time over 1547m. Gets every hope up on speed from the inside and will give a huge sight. VESPASIAN (5) has placed in his past couple, a narrow third over this route two back reading well. He can land handy and take some catching. UNOYASELF (4) is knocking on the door as well, albeit in slightly easier maidens and wouldn't shock. SUGGESTED PLAY: Abaya to win. |

Kelly Sports Spring Holidays Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Imperial Award leading the way. IMPERIAL AWARD (1) ran out a strong winner on debut at Bairnsdale, ridden on speed and coming clear to score by two lengths. Beat a subsequent winner there so the form has worked out well and he looks capable of remaining unbeaten despite a gap between runs. BAJARIA (6) resumes. She was tackling some good races last time in, last seen running a narrow fifth to the talented Clevor Trever at Caulfield. This suits nicely off some good jumpouts. MISTY WHISPER (2) won well fresh at Seymour beating a subsequent winner and should be fitter for that. He'll be hard to hold out again. SHAPENAPIT (5) was solid in a decent Class 1 second up having won narrowly fresh as favourite, she can improve again. MASTER JACK (3) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Imperial Award to win. |

Lots of speed predominantly from Firm'n'high, Woosh and Amira Dubai. BLUE AND GOLD (2) resumes for his second run (and second campaign) having run a great race in Listed company on debut at Caulfield. He's trialled well since and finds a nice race to be notching up his maiden win, especially with a couple of key dangers scratching. TURBO SAINT (10) is a well-related Zousain gelding for the McDonald yard, wary of any market support for strong connections off a jumpout placing. FIRM'N'HIGH (11) took on some good races in her maiden campaign and is better placed here fresh off a jumpout win, consider. FORT SUMTER (12) ran on well without the best of luck on debut at Moe. Better for that and should take some holding out here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue And Gold to win. |

Mr Spendedoe and Amorlight possess good early speed. BALANCE (5) resumes. She was thought highly enough of to debut in the G3 Peter Le Grand Stakes, very well spruiked there to start a $5.50 chance. She ran well for sixth before clearly not running to form as the $1.55 favourite at Cranbourne. With a spell under the belt and in the right race she can deliver. AMORLIGHT (4) just found one better on debut at Seymour after being well supported. Better for that and gets map favours up on speed. MR SPENDEDOE (1) has placed in both starts to date, through a couple of decent form races. He turns around quickly and maps well on speed. MAHRAJAN (7) is off a let up here having run well at Pakenham Synthetic her past couple. Onto turf now but warrants respect. SERVENIA (11) was better last time at Mornington and could sneak a minor placing. SUGGESTED PLAY: Balance to win. |

Mr Assertive and Karren possess good early speed. KARREN (10) resumes. She was a $21 chance on debut at Sandown Lakeside but proved too good and the form has worked out a treat. She beat Sass Appeal there who is since a G2 winner and this looks a very winnable race first up off a solid trial. MOONRAKER (3) has just found one better at her past three starts, working home well behind in form mares at her past couple at Warrnambool. It'll be much firmer ground here but he should be right there again. BINE (5) doesn't win out of turn but put in a good effort when last seen to grab second at Bendigo. She's got the ability to be be figuring here. FARAWAY DREAM (7) didn't appear to handle the synthetic last time but was close up in town prior and can bounce back strongly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Karren to win. |

Despite their wide draws Whimsy Smile and Licentious have enough pace to cross and take up the running. KINGSBURY (3) resumes. He was an impressive winner on debut at Pakenham before two sound runs, tested in good company at Flemington before the break. Should be an improver this time around, the late betting will be key to his chances. LICENTIOUS (12) just comes back a notch in grade from recent runs in town, fading late at Sandown Lakeside over a mile last time. Back in trip could suit better, expect she's ridden positively from out wide to try and run them along. THE FLYING POPOV (4) resumes. He showed ability last time in, look for him finishing strongly with an eye to rising in trip. WHIMSY SMILE (11) was a dominant maiden winner at Murtoa last time out. This is a fair bit harder but he's heading the right way. PERFECT NIGHT (8) resumes having been in good form last time in, this suits fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kingsbury to win. |

Placentia Bay has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. Really keen on PLACENTIA BAY (2) here who presents third up and ready to win. Two runs back have been good, battling on for fourth at Sale over 1717m second up. Should be at peak fitness now and this race does look relatively thin. He'll get every hope from the draw and take catching. JOHNICH (1) resumes. He was last seen running fifth in the VRC St Leger in a brutally run 2800m. Has the ability, 61.5kg over 1700m fresh is the query. STUNTMAN (3) is coming off a narrow maiden win at Ballarat Synthetic over 1400m, scoring by a neck. Should relish the extra ground and can improve again. PHAROAH'S DAUGHTER (12) is off a let up and back in trip but going okay and in the mix with no weight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Placentia Bay to win. |

Pace only fair with Paramount Plus rolling to the lead ahead of Tanganyika and Chocolate Royal. Two key scratchings this morning leave this one a little thin. TOUXLOVE (11) comes through a strong race at Sandown Hillside when battling away for a sound fourth. The winner there is very good and he should take holding out having been in consistent form of late. PARAMOUNT PLUS (6) has been racing well on the synthetics and maps for every hope from the soft gate. Back to turf but missed a lip in a maiden here first up and should go well. SACRAMENTAL (1) has won two on the bounce, lugging 64.5kg at Ballarat Synthetic last time in a tough effort. He can measure up again. JEWEL BAY (4) can mix form but is good enough, as is ISLAND BOY (8) who will find this easier than recent runs. SUGGESTED PLAY: Touxlove to win. |
