LAWN PRIDE AUSTRALIA MAIDEN 1300m
All The Stars and Winter Bloom should set a strong tempo. NEWHAVEN PRINCE (3) was just fair in his latest trial, though his form at the end of last campaign makes for good reading. First-up over 1300m here is a good move and he showed good early speed and the end of last preparation. Can return with a bang. ALL THE STARS (6) led them up last start at Pinjarra and was only gunned down late when missing by 0.7L. He can roll forward from the draw again and give them something to catch. THE ROCKET (1) finished off nicely first-up at Northam and looks better suited out in trip now. The wide draw is a query, but it wouldn't surprise to see him fly over the top to score. PANCHO'S PLACE (2) is third-up here and can feature in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Newhaven Prince looks the one to beat. |

GLENROY CHAFF MAIDEN 1300m
About Turn and Tanunda look to take it up. TWO UP BOOM (5) flew home last start when the race favourite, ending up 0.7L off the winner when back to 1100m. Now out to 1300m which looks a good move and Pike hops in the saddle for the first time this campaign. Maps to be closer in the run this time and he can land the knockout blow. SWEET ISSY (9) gets the blinkers on for the first time today after a 0.6L defeat at Pinjarra to end last campaign. The wide draw is a query, but she showed good ability at the end of last campaign and she can return with a bang. ABOUT TURN (2) resumed in good order last campaign in similar circumstances. Tsang was on board for his recent trial and sticks today, with his early speed important from a tricky gate. Can make an impression. SQUEALER (13) won her latest trial coming into this and won't be far away. ENERGETIC (1) is not to be discounted from a better draw today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Two Up Boom can get the job done this time. |

MORLEY GROWERS MARKET HANDICAP 1300m
Solid tempo with Kentucky Blue leading from Pure Mac and Late Arrival. POBLANO (4) didn't handle the heavy deck two back before just missing at Pinjarra last time out over this trip. She now gets the blinkers on for the first time and Pike remains in the saddle. Drawn better now and should get every chance to go one better today. DESERT ORA (3) won four on end before tackling Open 3YO company on a Saturday most recently where she wasn't disgraced. Back to the grade she won comfortably at two back and reunites with Faithfull today. Can bounce back to winning ways. LATE ARRIVAL (1) gets the blinkers on again today after a strong fresh effort at Pinjarra last time out. Fitter for that effort and has enough early speed to offset the tricky barrier. Can raise the bar again now and can end his winning drought. STATE OF FURY (11) wasn't disgraced last time out and can be in the finish again. KOTE (2) can feature third-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Poblano looks the one to beat. |

MC POLYTRACK HANDICAP 1000m
Snip Of Romance should lead at a slick tempo. SHARPASSA (4) resumed in top order at Northam with a 0.5L defeat when settling up front from the outset. The wide draw this time around is a niggle, but Pike takes over and she'll be fitter for the fresh effort. Will take plenty of catching with a new peak on the cards. DON'T WINK (2) will be fitter for a couple of trials coming into this where she's trialled around some handy types. O'Donnell's claim comes in handy and the tongue tie goes on for the first time. Wouldn't surprise to see her return with a bang. ARTIE'S ECLIPSE (9) resumes here without a trial but showed enough at the end of last campaign to suggest a win was near. Catarino knows her well and a forward showing is on the cards. SNIP OF ROMANCE (11) can hold the front from an inside barrier and will be in this for a very long way. PENNY PINCHER (6) was too good last time out and can go on with the job. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sharpassa is the one to beat. |

SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1650m
Genuine tempo from Hello Veneta leading Big Kay Dog. ROSIE CAN RUN (4) resumed in good order at Pinjarra where she flew late from the wide draw to miss by 0.3L. She hasn't won for a while, but the fresh run suggested she was back on song and Whiting remains on board. The longer trip now is a big tick and she can return to winning ways. PHAT CHAPS (1) hasn't been far away in his return efforts and looks primed to go to a new level now out to the mile for the first time. Holly Watson sticks and the inside draw should see him prominent from the outset. Has plenty of upside and can reach new heights now. GLOBAL TRIP (3) was run down last start over 1800m when ending up 1.9L off the winner, but he now gets a drop in trip and Nottle on board. The claim comes in handy and he should be tough to reel in late in the race. ACROSS GENERATIONS (8) can improve third-up out in trip. HELLO VENETA (7) won't be far away out to this trip for the first time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rosie Can Run gets the nod. |

SWAN DRAUGHT HANDICAP 2200m
From the inside draw Dandy's Gem has enough dash to find the lead and set a reasonable tempo. SISTER MARY (3) didn't feature in the Belmont Oaks but got the job done last start at Pinjarra when racing over 1800m. Out in trip is no issue and she rates highly on the last start effort. Expecting her to settle much closer from a better gate this time and she can bring up back-to-back wins. GRANDAD'S ADICTION (15) flew home last start to miss out by 0.8L when getting well back and now draws much better. He remains down in the weights and the rise in trip won't be an issue. Expecting him to sit closer this time and can return to winning ways. WILD THINGS (4) was solid last time out over this trip at Northam when sitting just off the speed and ending up 2L away. This shapes similarly with Chris Parnham now on board. Can feature once again. SAVIENNE (7) won well two back before being outclassed in the Oaks. Has claims coming back to this level for CJP. LUKA MAGIC (2) can go on with the job after a good win at Pinjarra last time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sister Mary gets the nod. |

QUAYCLEAN HANDICAP 1400m
A solid tempo on the cards with Just Walter John taking charge. JUST WALTER JOHN (1) led them up last start at this track but couldn't hold on, finishing 0.7L off the winner. He'll find this easier again with the visors replacing the blinkers. He has enough speed to press forward and now at peak fitness, he can give them something to chase. YOU CAN CALL ME AL (5) flew home to score first-up without a trial in a strong win at Pinjarra. He should appreciate the rise in trip second-up and he carries no weight again with the claim of Martinan. Can make his presence felt again. CLASSIC RULER (12) won narrowly at Northam last start and the form out of that race has been superb. He'll need some luck from the barrier, but he'll be hard to hold out if he can run up to his latest figures. SOLO VEGA (10) flew home first-up as a 40-1 chance and looks set for a bold campaign. Drawn better this time and is worth following. CHOUX SHOE (3) can improve now with Pike on from an inside barrier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Just Walter John goes on top. |

RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE HANDICAP 1200m
Strong early tempo with Polyvanova and Acta Non Verba leading the way. DELZEE (8) improved nicely second-up to score comfortably at Northam when running away with the win. A better barrier this time is a big tick and Galati hops back on board now. Looks a nice horse on the rise and he can bring up back-to-back wins. BELAURA STAR (7) missed fresh at Northam but that form has already been franked and he looks set to raise the bar now. Ticks plenty of boxes from a good barrier and with some weight relief today, he makes plenty of appeal. CATCH CARTER (1) wasn't beaten far in a Class 5 last time out when leading throughout and will likely adopt similar tactics here. Li's 3kg claim is important with his racing pattern and he'll be tough to run down if he's able to dictate up front. POLYVANOVA (6) can resume on a positive note. BOUSSAC (5) won't be far away if he can be somewhere close to his best first-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Delzee in the last. |
