Without a designated pacemaker it will probably turn into a dash home. BOLLON (5) doesn't win out of turn and has been 18 months since a success but won't get a better chance to break through. Fitter for two runs back and aided by the extra ground now. Take catching. RHESUS (2) has been going well without winning. Doesn't often race this trip but has placed two of four. Can sit close and should feature. PRINCE RUBAN (1) was a winner here three back then disappointing in the last two. Extra trip looks to suit and in a weak race gets a chance to improve. DANGER MAN (7) was safely held fresh but will strip far fitter and this suits. Can improve sharply and gets chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Bollon. |

Genuine tempo from Anecdotal leading Lady Fireball. FURY (1) looks the one to beat despite the sticky draw. Ran on hard to score here two back then sat forward last two, the latest boxing on well for third. Has the pace to push forward in this and might prove a bit too strong. Stablemate FIELDS OF COURAGE (2) is a former Victorian making debut for the new yard. Has won fresh and looks well placed at this level. Watch for a betting push. CARAT TIME (4) was fourth fresh then placed last time. Looks ready to fire now and gets chance to find some form. NO I'M NOT (5) ran on hard to score last time in easier and expected to be winding up late again. LADY FIREBALL (6) is overdue for a win but is still eligible for a maiden. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Fury. |

Cup Carnival On Sale Handicap 1200m
Dynamic Theory should lead at a slick tempo. Wide open. SOUTHAMPTON FLARE (3) is only just out of maiden grade but has more upside than most. Lightly raced galloper who started favourite here latest and drew clear for a strong win. Low draw and can measure up again. JULY (4) has been following a good run with a bad run, including last start when safely held here. Best figures more than measure up and gets a chance to atone. ANKLE ROLEX (5) returned to winning form here last time, racing on pace and lifting strongly to score over a shade further. Form is good and looks hard to beat again. DYNAMIC THEORY (6) returns from break. Best form stacks up and looks a key runner fresh. VALKUR (9) is coming off a better run last time when placed. Has ability and is one of the chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Southampton Flare. |

Expecting Starspangledancer to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. Hard to go past the former Victorian SELF SERVE (1) who makes debut for the new yard. Formerly with the Danny O'Brien yard, the lightly raced mare goes well fresh and is expected to hit the ground running for the new team. GOOD ONYA DARL (8) turned in a nice run fresh and looks the main threat. Was runner-up behind Southampton Flare last time, who is in the previous race. Fitter for the run and will take catching. SASSY ABBEY (5) is going well and should be in the finish. Placed 2/3 this course and distance and looks a leading chance. STARSPANGLEDANCER (6) was safely held fresh but fitter for that run and expected to be in the finish this time. JUELENE (4) was well below best last time and rates highly on previous form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Self Serve should go close. |
