NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:40 KOOBAH PERFORMANCE HORSES ROMANTIC DREAM - 2YO PLATE 1000m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a solid tempo. PUTINACALL (2) drifted back from the wide gate on debut before closing strongly with a tough Maiden victory over 1000m at this track. Gets a better set-up for this and expect to see him a little closer in the run. The one to beat. WHAT A SCANDAL (11) suffered a bump at the start and knuckled down strongly in the straight with an unlucky nose second over 1000m at this track. Tricky map again and expected to figure prominently. COOL ZUMBELINA (1) Written By colt from Zumbelina on debut for the Nathan Doyle yard. Fitted with the three trials and worth thought. TRICIA'S RAINBOW (10) smart debut win two-back, then was a total forgive from a wide gate with a battling eleventh over 1100m at Wellington in the Boot. Improver.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Putinacall looks hard to stop from the low draw.
2 01:15 WIN NETWORK SUPER MAIDEN SHOWCASE PLATE 1000m
Speed assured from Rubilicious, Waveton and Head Kahuna pressing on ahead of Parissident. HEAD KAHUNA (4) back for his third prep with a gritty on-pace second over 1000m at Wellington. Gets the gun run again and expected to figure prominently. WAVETON (11) placed on debut two-back at Hawkesbury, then over-raced in the early and middle stages with a fading last over 1000m at Wyong. Deserves another chance in this weaker grade. HARVEY'S TURN (3) Star Turn gelding from Oakfield Ella on debut for the Damien Lane yard. Won his first two trials in good style and has the ability to overcome the wide gate. RUAIRI (5) first-up after 11 months raced on the speed before he peaked on the run to finish fifth over 1000m at Taree. Will appreciate the 3kg claim and has further improvement. Place best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Head Kahuna should prove too good for these.
3 01:50 ELITE SAND AND SOIL COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN SHOWCASE PLATE 1400m
Not much early pace and doubt they will go hard. FORTHEO (2) fourth-up for this and a win looks imminent. Stalked the speed and kept finding with a courageous second over 1450m at Muswellbrook. Gets the right set-up and no excuses today. HOT CHOCKS (6) back for his second prep when slow into stride for a disappointing sixth over 1100m at Scone as the ($1.40 fav). Should appreciate the extra ground and Reece Jones sticks. FLEE WITH ME (9) ran a much better race from back in the field to secure third over 1280m at Orange in a Super Maiden. On the quick back-up and has each way claims. FINED FOR SPEEDING (1) set to peak fourth-up from the inside draw. Strong through the line with a game fourth over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Gets his chance over this trip.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fortheo ticks plenty of boxes today.
4 02:25 CONCRETE INDUSTRY SUPPLIES - JOHN CLIFT MEMORIAL - BENCHMARK 58 SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1000m
Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Magnolia Jewel and Miss Mercy. ECHELON (4) consistent gelding with his hoof on the till. From an in-form stable and looks to find his race fourth-up with the 4kg claim. Just over a month between runs when nailed late after leading early with a narrow second over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Gets the right run and expected to go close. ALMOST MAYBE (5) finally draws a decent gate third-up on his home track. Covered a stack of ground in the run with a fighting sixth over 1000m at this track. Drawn the inside and looks to get the right set-up with Partridge's 4kg claim. Leading player. MISS MERCY (8) hung out badly and covered plenty of ground with a tiring last over 1050m at Rockhampton. Won well two-back and deserves another chance. ZAMPANO (1) is capable on his day and worth noting his best form is over this track and trip. Shouldered the 61.5kg with a narrow sixth over 950m at Moree. Bar plates (front) come off and stays in the mix from the inside gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 4,5,8,1.
5 03:00 KCE CIVIL CONTRACTORS MORNINGTON SHOWCASE HANDICAP 2100m
Moderate pace with Invincible Red rolling to the lead and setting the tempo. WARRIOR FOR PEACE (3) above average gelding who stretches out to this trip for the first time. Scored a dominant win three-back in Highway class over 1800m at Randwick. Far from disgraced from a wide gate with a game seventh over 1400m in the Country Championships Final at Randwick. Bred to get the trip and will take holding out. AUSSIE NATION (7) rewarded for his consistency with a fighting nose win as fav over 2100m at Gosford in BM64 grade. At his top now and gets the right set-up for this. Sure to be thereabouts. GRANDINI (5) has gone to a new level as she's stepped up in trip. Chasing her third win from the last four starts after savaging the line with a sound win over 2100m at Wyong. Placed here early in the prep and not to be underestimated. KING KIKAU (2) tough old stayer racing in career best form. Rounded them up with ridiculous ease over today's course and distance with the 59.5kg at latest. Stepping up a level this time and must be considered. The chances don't end there.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Warrior For Peace can assert his class.
6 03:35 WESTS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP - THE JACKAL QUALITY OPEN SPRINT 1200m
Plenty of pace with Chandon Star and Danish Fortune leading from Ollie's Secret. CHANDON STAR (5) is a distance and track specialist in great order. Taken to the front with a commanding victory over 1100m at Wellington. Was a month between runs on that occasion and strips even fitter for this. Will take catching. OLLIE'S SECRET (8) dropped in class with the claim when he led throughout for a slick win over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of running a bold race. PRIDE TO FOLLOW (6) underrated mare desperate to win a race of this calibre. Indicated she was near her top with an eye-catching second over 1100m at Wellington. Tempo suits and expected to get the 1200m today. DANCES WITH HOOVES (4) Mudgee Cup winner last December who can pull out a big run fresh. Fitted with the one trial placing and look for her launching late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,8,6,4.
7 04:15 TAMWORTH CITY TOYOTA BIG DANCE ELIGIBILITY TAMWORTH SHOWCASE CUP 1400m
Strong tempo assured from Mystery Lad and Formal Display leading the charge. FORMAL DISPLAY (6) is a talented galloper who is unbeaten in two runs this time in. Shouldered the 60kg with ease when sitting on the speed for a comfortable win over 1400m at Warwick Farm. Gets map favours and will prove hard to get past with the 54.5kg. LORD OF BISCAY (2) is chasing his third-straight win fourth-up. Given a J Mac "peach" with a dominant win over 1400m in the Provincial Championships Final at Randwick. Up slightly in weight and expected to go close in this rich vein of form. TAVROS (8) is a durable gelding with excellent second-up figures. Slashing run first-up then came from near last on the turn with a close-up fifth over 1400m at Scone in the Northern Wild Card. Will go back from the draw and launch late. Each-way. PHEARSON (5) second-up for this and coming along nicely for the new yard. Savaged the line with an excellent fifth in the G3 Star Kingdom over 1200m at Rosehill. Since fitted with a slick 1200m trial win. Respect. The chances don't end there.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 6,2,8,5.
8 04:55 MCDONALDS TAMWORTH - COUNTRY MAGIC CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m
Genuine pace with Dunquin crossing from the outside gate in search of the lead. JASON DARREN (1) comes here in great order fifth-up and expected to go close with the visors going on. Sat on the strong tempo when nailed late to run second over 1450m at Muswellbrook in BM58 grade. Will relish Johnston's 3kg claim again and no excuses today. ZOUCRATIC (2) third-up today and ready for the 1400m. Has run on strongly at his last two outings over the 1200m. Back in class and has placed at this trip. Top-three contender. OVERZONE (6) smart debut winner, then sat on the pace with a plugging second over 1400m at Scone. Likely to go back today and be ridden for luck. PROCLIVITY (11) comes here deep into the campaign and stays in the mix despite drawing out. Stalked the speed with a game second over 1400m at Orange in C1 class. Keep safe with Braith Nock taking the reins.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Jason Darren in a competitive contest.
