Jayco 3YO Maiden Plate 1600m
Expecting Wonderdownunder to lead Bellitsy at just a moderate tempo. Looks a great race for WONDERDOWNUNDER (5), who was a respectable 4th on debut then improved last time when 1.3 lengths away in third over 1400m at Sale. Those two outings look a great platform for this and he has always shaped as if 1600m would suit. FLYING KHAN (1) was never in contention last time over 1600m at Sandown-Hillside when he finished sixth, beaten 3 lengths, but this is a drop in grade and he'll be better for the run at this trip. BELLITSY (6) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 2.75 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1300m at Ararat. Quickly jumps in trip which suits, and the inside alley should assist. CELTIC VIVA (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2.25 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1400m at Sale when only a length off Wonderdownunder. LICENTIOUS (10) is the most experienced runner in the race and gets the blinkers, which could spark improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wonderdownunder to win. |

Magic Millions 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate 1100m
Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. ANGEL IN BLACK (1) clearly has talent and she tackled a tougher race at her last run back in November when sixth behind Motorsports in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes. Narrowly beaten in maiden grade the start prior, so can start with a bang here. GOLD COAST BELLE (5) made a promising debut over 1000m at this track on September 11, finishing 0.8 lengths off a handy one. Placed in a recent trial. Sure to have improved so expected to run well again. DAMA ROYALE (3) has placed at her only two runs to date, so she'll be better for them, and while the extra 100m doesn't look an issue, the barrier might be. Conversely, MILOS FILOS (9) draws the pole and made an encouraging return last start in a handy race, so she looks to have come back well. SAPPHIRE REIGN (10) has not raced since her debut back on September 7 when she finished fifth over 1100m at Bendigo. Might not have loved the Heavy 9 that day and has trialled well since. SUGGESTED PLAY: Angel In Black to win. |

IRTMaiden Plate 1300m
In a race without an obvious leader, either Sacre Bleu or Chainsaw can roll them along. PRIVATEER (17) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 0.8 lengths from the winner when only nabbed late. The addition of blinkers might prove the missing ingredient and a peak performance could be on the cards. FARNANHEIT (3) finished second, beaten 2 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1100m at Stony Creek. He'll be better for that and looks more suitable venue for his racing style. TAG TIME (8) is a big watch, if for no other reason than Lane going aboard. He has a good record with Scott Cameron and Tag Time was good enough on debut to suggest he could measure up here from the good gate. RUMBLE TOWN (6) took advantage of the good draw and led for much of the way last start before being run down late, which followed a good run here. SABERTOOTH (7) is the first-starter who could bob up after rounding out preparations with a 1000m trial win at Cranbourne. SUGGESTED PLAY: Privateer to win. |

Catanach's Jewellers Maiden Plate 1300m
Moderate tempo with Doubt I'm Rich leading the way. SILKY SETH (9) was specked at double-figure odds on debut and ran up to that support with a good second placing. With the benefit of that experience, an extra 100m and a lovely draw he deserves to be considered the testing material. BRUTAL COMMAND (5) has also only had the one start, a fifth at Geelong over 1140m, when not beaten that far. He'll relish the extra trip but just has a terrible alley to overcome. ANTALIAN (11) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Kyneton over 1454m. Becoming costly but racing too consistently to dismiss. HATALOOK (13) came home soundly to finish fourth when resuming over 1170m at Wangaratta last time out. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but she is right in this. BLUE LIGHT DISCO (1) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at Pakenham over 1200m, beaten 2.5 lengths. Capable of sharp improvement with any luck from the wide draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Silky Seth to win. |

Evergreen Turf VOBIS Silver Maiden Plate 2200m
Genuine pace with Earl Of Gloucester taking up the running ahead of Sungazer and Gotcha Moment. The staying race of the day, for the maidens, a number of whom have demonstrated a hankering for getting out to this trip. DUKE OF CLARENCE (2) has been massive prices at his two runs this time in, but they've both had merit and have hinted that 2200m was going to be right up his alley. TRYST AND DOUBT (11) has started twice, running a good third on debut then finishing fifth, beaten 2.75 lengths, last time over 1600m at Sandown-Hillside. Would be a good effort to win at this trip at start No 3 but Rob Hickmott knows how to handle a stayer. ZINOVATION (7) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1755m at Geelong, beaten 3 lengths, but will have come on from that and needs this sort of trip to be a winning hope. SUNGAZER (10) missed the frame first-up but has improved in subsequent runs, finishing in the money last start over 2000m at Murray Bridge. DOUBTA (8) should be peaking now and could race handier up in trip from the gun draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Duke Of Clarence each-way |

My Racehorse. It's Showtime. BM66 Handicap 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Some Eclipse leading the way. The Busuttin/Young stable looks to have found a beautiful first-up assignment for LATHLAIN (8), who was deemed worthy of a shot at Black Type races following an impressive maiden win here on debut and got within 3.6 lengths of Getta Good Feeling in the G2 Manifold Stks last time out. Jumpouts suggest she's poised to hit the ground running this prep. OVERACTIVE (1) is another back in grade first-up and a couple of quiet jumpouts should have the import primed to run a race fresh from a lovely draw. PRINCESS TORO (4) has race fitness on her side and is also drawn well, so she'll give the first-uppers some competition. PRINCESS MONTECITO (9) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was beaten 3 lengths into fifth over 1200m at Pakenham but will be better for that, gets up in trip and draws to play a prominent role. It's hard to see STRIKE GOLD (2) winning, especially from the gate, but he'll be at peak fitness now and can sneak into the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lathlain to win. |

SENET Gambling Law Experts BM66 Handicap 1600m
Genuine tempo with Strummer and Phoebe Buffay leading the way. CALEANA (10) turned in a strong performance first-up when in the money at Geelong but disappointed last time when sixth, beaten 6 lengths, at Cranbourne over 1400m. Ready for 1600m now and he looks to have more upside than most rivals. Another lightly-raced type, LEVERAGED BUYOUT (7), could be the main danger. Found it a bit rich last start, but was a good maiden winner at this trip the start prior and draws beautifully for this. MAKTOOB (2) ran his best race in a while last start and contested some stronger races than this earlier in the preparation, so he could go on with it from a nice low draw. PHOEBE BUFFAY (8) returns to the track where she was an impressive winner last time out and that was only third-up so there should be some improvement to come. SAVVIE BLANC (3) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing sixth over 1600m at Cranbourne most recently but is a winner here and should now be at peak fitness. SUGGESTED PLAY: Caleana to win. |

Jaclyn Symes - Member for Northern Victoria F&M BM62 Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo likely from Silver Top Ridge and Morisu Dori. DRONE ATTACK (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when fifth over 1400m at Pakenham four weeks ago. Will relish the step back in grade, just needs a touch of luck from the widish draw. SUSSEX DUCHESS (8) didn't do a bad job to finish half a length away in second last start over 1100m at Pakenham. That followed a first-up win at Geelong. Best figures measure up and she's drawn beautifully with Harry Coffey to ride. LEGACY ROSE (2) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fourth over 1400m at Wangaratta. That followed a couple of nice runs in 62 grade, so no reason she won't feature again from a favourable alley. CHOCOLATE BOX (3) has trialled since the latest run, when she was heavily-backed, so might be worth keeping an eye on the market again. BAKED (5) got the campaign off to a perfect start last time and rises in grade here but might have matured now and can go on with it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Drone Attack each-way. |

Go Seymour BM66 Handicap 1100m
Expecting Mr Assertive to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. BLUE AKOYA (13) scored at her most recent appearance, getting home by 1.3 lengths over 1000m at Sale. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins from four runs. Back up to BM66 grade here, but he looks to have a little more upside than many of the rivals here. THAILESS (10) is a hardened mare who likes to race on speed and has performed well at Stakes company in the past. She looks beyond that now, but is well-graded here and just needs luck early from the alley. AKICITA (3) has teased over the journey but couldn't have done any more first-up, which should have given him some confidence. He'll be better for that, which might help offset the rise in grade, will just need luck from the gate. KA YING CHEER (4) is back in Australia after a stint in HK and couldn't have done any more first-up. Steps up in grade here, but can go on with it. GREATHAM BOY (2) got no favours at the draw, but was nice first-up and contested some nice races last prep. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Akoya each-way. |
