DOBRA DATA & SECURITY MAIDEN 1600m
Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Puissance Playboy a potential leader. REIGN IN THE CASH (1) missed the kick and had to be used up to find his spot over 1400m here nearly 3 weeks ago. His form before that was good, and the travelling David Page stable has been winning plenty of races in this State. If he can jump with them in this suitable small field, then he is the one to beat. MIDSUMMER ROMANCE (6) is still searching for her first win after 10 starts and was tried in front here last week over 1990m when fading out to finish sixth. She drops back to a mile and is worth another chance. PUISSANCE PLAYBOY (2) ran fifth two starts ago before improving to a close second last time over 1400m here when racing handy to the pace throughout. She has a superior gate this time and can go one better. SECRET INTENT (5) was seventh last start over 1400m at this track, and she will be peaking third up from a spell. In the small field, she has top 3 claims. COBAR SKY (4) and MIGHTY ROAR (3) make up the 6-horse field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Reign In The Cash should be winning. |

SNAPPER ENTERPRISES PTY LTD MAIDEN 1300m
Arctic Fox to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. DESERT MADAME (6) has improved since joining the local Melda Daniels stable, and she ran on strongly last time to grab third over 1100m here a week ago. If this race has not come too soon for her, then she is the one to beat. ARCTIC FOX (7) was not far off the top pick when finishing fourth over 1100m in the same race last time out. An extra 200m will suit her, and with the right run, she can figure in the top 3 for the first time in her career. PANCHO'S PLACE (3) is in top form with back-to-back placings, the latest a close second by almost a length over 1200m here nearly 3 weeks ago. He has the pole position this time, so stick with him. THREE AY EM (2) ran third over 1400m here last start in his first start from the Campbell McCallum stable, and he won't have to improve much more to pick up his first win. SNOW GEM (1) is the best of the rest in a fairly tame contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Desert Madame can win this. |

DRAKE-BROCKMAN BUILDING HANDICAP 1400m
A small field that lacks a pacemaker. TACITO (4) only battled home last start, finishing seventh and 4 lengths off the winner over 1600m here nearly 3 weeks ago. He probably finds the mile a touch too far, and back to 1400m, he is good enough to win a race like this. Stick with him. DOTHRAKI (2) flashed home from the rear of the field last time out, winning by a long neck over 1100m at this track a week ago. He is part of the David Page stable, and he has thrived on this circuit, winning 4 races. The extra 300m is no problem, and he can repeat the dose. I AM SPARTACUS (3) is a durable veteran who hasn’t won for a while, most recently running ninth over 2000m at Mt Barker. He has a far better record here on his home track, and a form reversal would be no shock. CELEBRITY PRINCE (1) ran on too late when finishing seventh second-up over 1400m in the same race as the second pick. He will be peaking third up, and can figure in the top 4 this time. MOUNTAIN ASH (7) has placed twice in seven runs this prep. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tacito each-way. |

WITTENS IRRIGATION HANDICAP 1300m
Genuine tempo from Titan Rising leading Safe Rappa. HARLEQUIN PRANCER (2) will be chasing a hat-trick after a gritty win last start over 1400m at this track, getting home by a head in a similar field to this. He loves it here, and an extra 2kg should not be enough to stop him from winning again. ZADOWS LANDING (1) was on fire with four straight wins before starting favourite last time and finishing fourth over 1600m here when racing handier than usual. Dropping back from 1600m to 1300m will suit him, and he can have the last say in this. Follow your money. TITAN RISING (3) bounced back into the money when finishing third over 1600m at this track a week ago. Racing over 1300m is a query for us, but if the tempo is genuine, then he can figure in the finish again. CAP CAVOUR (4) was a game fourth here last time and drops 5.5kg in weight. Watch for him late. LACIE ACE (6) is worth keeping in mind for a place. SUGGESTED PLAY: Harlequin Prancer and Zadows Landing can produce the quinella. |

CLEANAWAY ESPERANCE 131339 HANDICAP 1100m
Buster's Girl and Tapitlikeit'ssassy possess good early speed. CALL TIME (6) resumed with a third placing two runs back at this track, and then stepped up a furlong to win by 2 lengths over 1300m here last week. Dropping back down to 1300m is the query, but she will only need the gaps to come at the right time for her to be a big threat again. BUSTER'S GIRL (2) set the pace as usual from the inside gate last time, leading into the straight before being run down late over 1100m here. She is likely to adopt similar tactics here and will again be the one to peg back. ALOTOFBANTER (1) was not in the hunt after missing the kick and getting well back from a wide gate here nearly 10 weeks ago. He slides down in class and is worth including in all top 4 combos. FAVAIOS (3) has been showing some signs of improvement lately, most recently finishing fifth over 1300m here after racing on the pace. Stick with her from the ace draw. Each way value. COULDABEENAHANDBAG (4) can mix her form, and she can't be totally ruled out of a top 3 finish in this field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Call Time can win again. |

CHOPPIN BLOCK BUTCHERY HANDICAP 1100m
Cocoon Bay, Talk Softly and Marybee can set a strong tempo. MARYBEE (9) saves her best for this track and bounced back last time out to score by nearly a length after making the most of a good trip over 1100m here nearly 3 weeks ago. There is more depth to this field, but with 3kg less to carry, she can repeat the dose. OREGON HIKER (1) has been thereabouts on this circuit and won here 3 starts back. He will find this easier than his last start, fifth on this track, and from a good draw, he should be right in the finish. MEAT PIE ARTIE (5) finished fourth last time over 1100m here, just half a length from the winner as the favourite. He slides back in class and is good enough to win this, so follow your money. ROYAL ACCOLADE (3) needed the run when finishing a modest seventh over 1100m here a week ago. He has less time between starts this time, and can take it out. MIDNIGHT RUSH (4) is not having much luck with his barrier draws, but with the right run, he is also worth each-way consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Marybee has each-way claims in a very competitive field. |

KBRC SEASON OPENER 3RD APRIL HANDICAP 1600m
Moderate pace from Ruling Dame taking it up with Highland Jeuney and Shinboner on her back. RULING DAME (10) has found it hard to win another race, and her form has dipped this prep after normally being so consistent. She is better than that, and with a few things in her favour this time, she could provide some each-way value to end the card. IMPORT (3) broke through for his first win last start over 1400m at this track, scoring by more than a length. He looks to have plenty of upside, and with the advantage of the pole position, he can take the next step immediately. BIONDO (2) has turned a corner since joining the Campbell McCallum stable, finishing in the placings at his last two runs, most recently third over 1300m last week. He steps up to a mile, and he should be right in the finish again. SHINBONER (11) improved to finish fourth over 1400m here last time out, and he tries a mile for the first time. Stick with him. STEPCHILD (1) hit the line strongly last start, finishing 2 lengths from the winner as the runner-up. He has top 4 claims in this even field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ruling Dame each-way value. |
