NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:10 Festival Hire Benchmark 62 Handicap 1750m
Small field but expecting a genuine tempo with plenty of pace engaged. PRINCESS ON PALM (3) is knocking on the door after flashing home from the clouds at Gawler to just miss. Looks to have the class edge and should be able to manage these under the light weight of the claim. KIKORANGI (2) has good tactical speed, though he folded under pressure in town last time at headquarters. Will push forward again and is a chance to steal it if left alone in front. LAYBUY (4) kicked off the campaign in good order but has been struggling of late. Boasts a strong record over this journey and is worth some thought. COWLEY'S CREEK (5) has been thereabouts in his two runs back and will appreciate the rise in trip third-up, though will need to improve to threaten the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Princess On Palm to win.
2 01:45 Seafront Group Benchmark 62 Handicap 1050m
Reigning Star should spear straight to the front of the small field. REDWINELOVER (2) made it two on the bounce in fine style here last time, adding to her terrific record at this venue. Drops back in trip off 33 days and is drawn to get all the favours. Hat-trick inbound. NOBLE MAGNATE (1) never looked likely when resuming off 300 days in town, settling a long way back from an outside draw and never coming on. Better for the hitout and this is significantly easier. Watch for sharp improvement. WILLIAM'S QUEST (5) has been no match for Redwinelover the last three times they've met but he does get in slightly better at the weights this time and strips fitter second-up. Can find the frame in a small field. REIGNING STAR (3) hasn't inspired confidence in her two runs back but looks best of the rest in a thin contest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Redwinelover to win again.
3 02:20 Kangaroo Island Freight Services Maiden Plate 1360m
Hasta La Wizard or Starlite Dexter to lead the small field. MAHALER (8) was denied narrowly from making the perfect start to her career at Strathalbyn, flashing home from the rear to only miss by a head. Is sure to have come on from that and should have their measure this time. HASTA LA WIZARD (3) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying. Has been freshened with 53 days, jumping out well at Murray Bridge in between runs. Has good early speed and should give backers a sight. FRIDAY FOLLY (5) was no match for an impressive winner last start at Murray Bridge but did do a good job to hold down third. Easier this time and is at peak fitness. Keeping safe. DREAMT OF ME (1) hasn't given a shot in his two runs back from a long break but strips fitter now and is in the mix if he can take better advantage of the draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mahaler to win.
4 02:55 Sealink Maiden Handicap 1050m
Hedged Your Bets is the probable leader in the small field. PUB CRAWL (1) has just missed in his two runs back but looks set to finally shed his maiden tag now. Is drawn to advantage and gets in well with the claim. It's now or never. BOOLCUNDA DAWN (3) returns and has been readied with two strong hitouts. Was an eye-catcher on debut on the Parks back in September 2025, and looks to have come on a treat during the break. Looks the obvious danger. HEDGED YOUR BETS (7) finds it hard to get off the mark but has efforts littered through his form that can be competitive this time. Draws well and can be kept safe in minors. SECOND HEAVEN (4) can improve sharply with the blinkers going on first time and the claim also helps.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pub Crawl to win.
5 03:30 G & J East (Strathalbyn) Benchmark 58 Handicap 1215m
Good tempo with several going forward, primarily Lucky Fortuna, The Mariner and Exotic Dancer. LASTAR (1) is ticking along nicely and only needs to hold his form to be winning. Boasts a strong record at this venue and strikes a suitable assignment on the quick back-up. Is the one to beat. ARTISSI (6) has returned in good order and should be hitting her straps now. Will appreciate the added trip and gets in well with the claim. Big threat. MR JONES (3) returned with a bang at Clare six days ago when making very light work of his rivals. Slightly tougher this time but draws well and has a lot more to offer. REAL VALENTIA (5) has been much better in his last two and is a five-time winner over this trip. Doesn't win out of turn but gets a key booking in Milnes and is one of the hopes.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lastar to win.
6 04:10 Wolf Blass Patron Rating 0 - 54 Handicap 1750m
Strong early tempo with Rokabye Warrior and Havaduel leading the way. VEE ROD (7) is yet to strike through this campaign but is knocking on the door and gets a good chance to bust through. Peak fitness now and gets in well with the claim. Ready. MUFFLA (5) sets up nicely for this fourth-up and finally reunites with his mate Dom Tourneur, who knows him very well. Hasn't won for a long time but boasts a strong record over this journey. ROKABYE WARRIOR (1) is proving tough to catch but was back somewhere near his best at Lock when sticking on gamely into second. Carries the big weight but can play a major role on the quick back-up. GRINZINGER ALLEE (8) hasn't been as effective of late but his earlier form this prep measures up. Keeping safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Vee Rod.
7 04:50 Penneshaw Pub Benchmark 52 Handicap 1360m
Star Decorum and Alpha Street will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. STAR DECORUM (8) doesn't win out of turn but bounced back to somewhere near her best here last time when beaten narrowly. Has trialled well in between and can go one better under fresh legs. SACRED CHORD (1) is mixing his form but boasts peaks that measure up. Backs up quickly and gets his chance to break a long run of outs. DARRA LINEN (4) improved sharply last start at Horsham when closing strongly to score by a length. Drops back in trip off a 60-day freshen and is worth watching for late, if they overdo it in front. SMOKIN' EYES (7) struggled last time but was solid at Oakbank the start prior. Has claims on best figures. Keeping safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Star Decorum.
