SPARKLE AND GOLD (1) looks a little disappointing on paper, though this presents as a very different scenario. He drops back in grade for the first time today with Avdulla taking the ride and the cheekpieces go on. Can see him improve sharply here. ALWAYS MY FOLKS (3) resumes here off a short break with just one trial since his last start in November. The blinkers go on now and DBM hops on board, sticking from the recent trial. Expecting a much better run this time around in what looks a suitable race. MAJESTIC DELIGHT (8) stuck on well last start out to 1400m but comes back in trip here which looks to suit him a bit better. Bowman rides now from a good draw and his form at this trip stand sup. Can play a leading role. HAPPY BOYS (4) is better suited out to this trip today and can turn in a much better effort. |

PRESTIGE HALL (9) has flown home to just miss in his past couple, beaten 0.5L two back and 0.8L most recently. He now gets Purton in the saddle today which is a big push for his chances and he still has some upside. Can go one better this time around despite drawing wide again. NEVER SETTLE (5) disappointed at Happy Valley last time out and went back to the trials following that effort. The winkers go on here and his trial coming into this was solid. Needs some luck from the draw but he was trending the right way prior to the break. HAYDAY (1) couldn't hold on at The Valley last start when crossing to the lead. Drawn inside here suits much better and he can feature in the finish once again. YEE CHEONG GLORY (2) can improve getting back out in trip today after closing strongly last time out. |

LUCKY STAR HANDICAP 1600m
BUCEPHALAS (1) has been disappointing in his past couple, though he may have been looking for the drop in grade which he gets here. The wide draw is a query, but getting back out to the mile looks to suit and he was an impressive winner the last time he raced in this grade. Can bounce back to form. FOREVER FOLKS (5) was far too good on the All Weather surface last time out, running away with an impressive victory. Back to the mile and back onto the turf course here, though he rates highly on what he did last time out. Just needs to run up to that level back on the turf. FLYING BOOM (10) looks ready to step out to the mile now and can make his presence felt. MASTER TRILLION (3) creates plenty of interest on the class drop. |

GOOD LUCK HAPPY (6) flew home from the back to finish 1.8L off the winner at Happy Valley last time out. Getting onto the bigger Sha Tin circuit looks to suit him better and Purton remains in the saddle. Drops in weight a touch and he can go one better this time around. ELITE GOLF (1) sat on the speed throughout last time out and got the job done at this track and trip 39 days ago. He's been back to the trials since where he was given a quiet hit out and he looks a nice horse on the rise. Has the speed to roll across from out wide and can play a leading role. BETTER AND BETTER (14) jumped favourite here last time out, finishing 2.3L off the winner when tiring late in the race. He's been back to the trials since where he looked good and Guyon sticks from that outing. Can feature in the finish. BABY SAKURA (7) has impressed at the trials recently and is not to be discounted on debut. |

CROSSBORDERDUDE (1) just missed two back but landed the knockout blow most recently at this track and trip, jumping the $2.60 favourite. He sat on the speed there and was too good, with this race shaping similarly from a better draw. Purton rides again and he can go back-to-back. THUNDER PRINCE (11) finished off well from midfield last start at Happy Valley last time out, beaten 1.5L. Back onto the turf course here at Sha Tin and Bowman sticking with him is a positive sign. Form out of his last start has been good and he won't be far away. SUNNY Q (10) is a little better than he showed last start where he was 3.5L off the winner. The wide draw is a niggle, but he tends to get back in his races anyway. Can storm home over the top to get the job done. CIRCUIT CHAMPION (3) was impressive on debut as a $33 chance and has trialled nicely since. Can go one better without surprising. |

THE YEAR OF THE HORSE CUP (HANDICAP) 1600m
TOP DRAGON (11) finished off strongly from midfield last start, beaten 3.3L at this track and trip in the 4YO Classic Mile. This looks a very suitable race on that effort and he drops in weight here. Draws ideally here and if he can run up to his most recent effort, he can get back to winning ways. SOLEIL FIGHTER (6) sat on the speed from out wide to miss by 0.5L in this grade at Happy Valley. Purton gets back in the saddle now in a good push for his chances and he should be close to the speed from an inside alley. Can go one better this time around. ENCOUNTERED (1) missed in G3 company last time out and drops back to the mile this time around. Will find this a little easier here for Teetan and he's sure to be there at the finish. REGAL GEM (9) steps back out to the mile here after sticking on well at Happy Valley last time out. Won't be far away if he handles the rise in trip. |

GALLANT EPOCH (1) got the job done two back before a 0.5L defeat most recently at this track and trip. That performance rates highly here and this looks to shape similarly. Has the speed to roll across from out wide and he can continue his strong run of form. AEROINVINCIBLE (4) sat on the speed last start and missed out by 0.8L. He returns tot he scene of the crime here and an inside draw is a big tick for him. Form out of that race has been sound and another forward showing is on the cards. LUCKY MCQUEEN (9) bounced back last start after a disappointing run two back. Can lob into a midfield position from a good draw today and he looks to be nearing towards a win. BROWNNEEDSFURTHER (8) finished behind a good one last time out and that form may have been franked earlier today. Worth including. |

HAPPY INDEX (1) got the job done over this course and distance 25 days ago, scoring by 1.5L. He showed good improvement last time out and he can improve again now third-up into the season. Purton remains in the saddle and with further improvement in store, he can repeat the dose. TOGETHER WE VALUE (5) was in the second half of the field in his HK debut, storming home strongly to be 0.5L off thew inner at the finish. Out to 1200m now is a big tick and DBM hops in the saddle. Looks to be trending the right way and can go to another level now out in trip. THE UNIQUE STAR (4) is another who flew home on resumption, finishing 1.3L off a strong winner 32 days ago. Will need some luck from the draw, but out in trip looks a big tick for him and he can raise the bar now. FIT FOR BEAUTY (8) has trialled nicely coming into this and a forward showing is expected coming back to the 1200m journey. |

PRESTIGE GOOD (4) led them up over this course and distance last time out, missing in a photo finish as a $2.90 favourite. He rises in weight, but he'll find this an easier race coming back in grade. Can roll forward from the draw again today and make every post a winner. GENTLEMEN LEGACY (1) is knocking on the door of another victory and has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial since his last run 25 days ago. Bowman hops in the saddle now and this race looks to set up nicely for him from the draw. Back in grade here and can put his best foot forward. SERAPH GABRIEL (3) missed narrowly last stat over the mile when sticking on well from midfield. The winkers go on now and DBM takes the ride. Out in trip again now which should suit based on his GB form. Can go one better. LIVEANDLETLIVE (8) can sit handy from a favourable alley and can be in this for a long way. |

HOT DELIGHT (13) settled midfield in the run on debut but was far too good, rounding up his rivals to win with ease over this track and trip. Straight up to C3 here is the query, but he's turned in a nice trial behind Ka Yin Rising recently and he looks an exciting gelding on the up. RED MAESTRO (4) makes his way across to Hong Kong after an impressive debut win for Joseph O'Brien over a year ago. He's trialled well coming into this and the booking of Guyon is a good push for his chances. Drawn well and can make a statement on debut. HELENE SUPAFEELING (1) got a long way back over 1400m last start and didn't really feature. Back to this track and trip looks a good move and a better barrier today can see him sit much closer. Ticks a few boxes and can play a leading role. ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (9) can go one better coming onto the turf course from a good gate. |

KUT CHEONG HANDICAP 1400m
AURIO (4) won well two back when up on the speed over this track and trip, before going back from the wide draw last time out from a wide draw. He now gets Purton and a good draw today, with a recent trial under his belt where he moved well. Out to 1400m now, but can get back to winning ways. SUPER EXPRESS (2) raced wide and without cover last start but was still too good, winning by 0.8L in a very impressive performance. Draws perfectly here for Guyon and there's no reason why he can't go on with the job. RISING PHOENIX (11) flew home to score impressively at this track and trip last time out, winning by 1.5L. The draw means he'll probably be back in the run, but he rises in grade and drops in weight. Loves this track and trip and can go close once again. POSITIVE SMILE (13) is looking for the hat-trick here and can't be discounted. |
