Corio Waste Management 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate 1100m
Expecting the speedy Duty Calls to be prominent but one or more of the unraced runners should add to the early pressure. Tricky. Of the raced brigade, DUTY CALLS (2) brings two narrow provincial defeats and has scope for further improvement. She's likely to control the race and can go one better. BRAZEN DIVA (1) did well in placing at Mornington on debut. Presents fitter and Craig Williams is booked. That's a decent push for her chances. SENSATIONAL SECRET (9) debuts and the Begg yard is flying. Profiles well and Childs can use the inside gate. STORMY MALICE (12) didn't have the best of it at Mornington last time but led and just missed their first-up. Maps well and goes in at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Duty Calls has the race form and fitness. |

Tobin Brothers Maiden Plate 1000m
Champagne Doctor can spear to the lead from the outside and set a slick tempo. EVIL LOVER (9) is busting to win and has been freshened off a plainer effort last time. She has the first time blinkers applied and they may prove the difference. TORONESS (13) has been mixing the form but rates well enough at best and is hard fit. She's been kept on the fresh side and Currie is reunited. Will get every chance from an inside barrier. THE FORT (12) resumes for Godolphin and has been switched back from the Sydney barn. The leadup trials have been sharp and she's certainly good enough. The gate is sticky. BUNDORAN (8) was well supported here first-up and likely had excuses. The gate is also awkward but she will have taken fitness and learning. SUGGESTED PLAY: Evil Lover each way. |

Viatek Geelong Maiden Plate 1600m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward headed by Don't Look Away. INDEFINITE (6) is in the premier barn (Maher) and is ready for the step-up in trip. Has the outside barrier but has the figures to say this is winnable. DEELER (2) drops back from a staying trip briefly freshened. Two runs ago he was beaten 1.7L at Cranbourne over 2060m and this isn't beyond his reach. Maps well and Childs is a positive jockey booking. AHAB (1) resumes for Maher and has shown enough ability to say he's a hope. Draws awkwardly but is likely to race well JUST SWIFT (11) and ROSSANADO (13) are both third up and ready to show more. Keep onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Indefinite appeals most. |

Global Turf Maiden Plate 1400m
Fast early tempo likely from Montrock setting the tone from an outside draw, joined by Izola. MISS CLAMOROSA (11) peaks for the premier stable and is well-placed to be winning. She was quickly back on track at Pakenham and Nugent stays in the saddle. Maps for the run of the race. IZOLA (8) led at Seymour on debut and toughed it well, beaten 2.2L over 1422m. She presents fitter and Lane sticks in the saddle. That's a strong push for her chances. MONTROCK (2) is speedy and hit the race at peak. May find the front and has to be considered. SILENT CALL (5) debuts for the Waller yard with Childs is a positive jockey engagement. Has the blinkers on signalling intent. Keep onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Miss Clamorosa. |

A strong gallop is likely with Son Of Grace and Western Conqueror taking up the running from Gunboat. ASAWIN (1) showed more like his best narrowly beaten at Stawell. Will be fitter again and maps for a soft run. Briefly freshened and is ready to win. WESTERN CONQUEROR (2) is a leader who spaced the Mildura Maidens when last seen heavily bet. Further matured and is sure to give a sight. GUNBOAT (3) has disappointed twice since the Maiden win at Bendigo when he led. He's on a quick backup and notably, Damian Lane sticks aboard. A much-improved effort is likely. TEA MASTER (5) only succumbed late at Benalla showing more like his best. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Asawin. |

O'Briens Refrigeration F&M BM58 Handicap 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Wanted In A Gust taking charge. SOMEBODYTOLOVE (3) resumed at Cranbourne bet a $3.4 favourite but was a run short. She is proven second-up and will appreciate the step up to 1400m. Has a handy 3kg claim in easier and the first-time blinkers applied. Rates to be winning for a red-hot stable. BRAZEN BLISS (2) is fourth up and Damian Lane is a key jockey switch. Has the first time blinkers applied and a sharper effort is on the cards. YONGTAI (7) peaks back in grade and has been around the mark. Gives away starts and the longer sprint should suit. HEAVENBENT (6) draws well and will present fitter. 20% stable-striker Coffey is a positive jockey switch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Somebodytolove. |

Picklebet's Pickle Perks BM58 Handicap 1600m
Understated to take charge ahead of Magic Princess at a solid tempo. SAINT LAZARE (1) has been racing in stronger company and the two-back was only beaten 2.5L at Caulfield Heath in a 70. He's been briefly freshened and maps for a soft run. Has the handy 3kg claim and is the one to beat. WILLINGLY (3) resumed over 1500m and needed it. Delivered a decent figure at Caulfield prior and Egan replaces the 4kg apprentice. She's been briefly freshened and can improve into the finish. MAGIC PRINCESS (9) led and deserved the Cranbourne Maiden win over this distance. Newitt sticks aboard and will skip her across and ride the speed. She has more to offer. TOWER OF TUSCANY (2) was okay here following the big Maiden win and will be around the mark with average luck in the run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Saint Lazare. |

Australian Bloodstock BM58 Handicap 1000m
From the inside gate Regina D'italia should be prominent along with Frose. REGINA D'ITALIA (8) was spelled off an easy debut win and then went close first-up in a Sale 64. She will run along from the inside barrier and one of the nation's best hoops is booked to ride. Fitter and should be winning. SANTASIA (9) is also back in grade and she rates well enough. Led at Echuca last time heavily bet and will take a sit today from the awkward barrier. She has a handy 2kg claim and has been briefly freshened. FROSE (5) is a leader racing well. Draws low and keeps the 3kg claim. She can't be ruled out. INNOCENT ENUFF (6) is better suited and maps well. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Regina D'italia to win. |
