TWILIGHT BAY (4) is better than her last two starts over longer trips. She was overraced on both those occasions. Her effort when second over this here three runs ago catches the eye. Tristan Godden steps back into the saddle and from barrier four, she may be the one to side with. DEE DAY (8) has decent consistent form lines to her credit. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. Each way claims in this. DOIN' TIME (2) was disappointing in his last start after an improved performance in his penultimate outing. Raymond Danielson rides and if putting his best foot forward, he can feature in this line-up. FUTURARIUS (5) showed improvement in his last start over 1500m at Scottsville. He has a chance to figure in the first 3 for the first time. Include in all combinations.

PRINCESS PALACE (4) is better than her last start. She drops back in class and may be the one to side with. Stick with her at some value. SPIRITED FLIGHT (6) ran a good race when third over 1200m on the turf last time. The cheekpieces seem to have done the trick and she will be mowing down the frontrunners. PURPLE FLOWER (7) has good recent form lines to her credit. She has won twice and finished second twice from seven runs here over this trip. If jumping on terms, she should be involved in the fight to the finish. ASPOESTERTJIE (5) finished not far behind the third choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. Each way value.

GIMMETHEGOODLIFE (4) followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this distance at Scottsville. He set the pace that day but found one too good and had to settle for second place. It must be noted that the form of that race has since been franked. From his good draw, he may be the one to side with. BURNING MAN (1) was an easy winner of his last start over this distance at Scottsville. He is up in weight but jumps from pole position and is one of the leading contenders. FISH EAGLE (9) has been racing well. He has the early gate speed to overcome his awkward draw of nine and may be hard to peg back. GLOBAL MOVEMENT (5) has good recent form lines to his credit. The form of his last start has been franked and another solid effort can be expected.

LAUDATO (7) was in need of his fresh-up run over this distance at Scottsville. It must be noted that the form of that race has since been franked. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. He is unbeaten from three starts on this course and can keep that record intact. LAST ONE STANDING (8) ran a good race when second over this distance at last time. He would have come on from the run and will be a fitter horse. He is one of the leading contenders. ROYAL SWAN MASTER (10) finished not far behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there should not be much separating them at the finish. LINDBERGH (1) was a tad disappointing last start but is better placed over this trip and can figure in the finish this time. Each way value.

RODRIGUEZ (8) caught the eye over 1600m at Scottsville last time. He was settled at the rear of the field and finished off his race strongly. Three of his six career victories have come on this course. If repeating that effort in this field, he may find himself in the winner's enclosure. THE MIKADO (6) won a good race in his last start over 2300m on the turf. The son of Danon Platina is in a good space and merits healthy respect. ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD (3) has consistent form lines to his credit. He won his penultimate outing over this course and distance. He is likely to get his own way in front from barrier three and may be hard to peg back. LUCRETIUS (4) produced another moderate effort last start when 5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1950m at Scottsville. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
6 07:40 GREYVILLE CONVENTION CENTRE C STAKES 1000m
B FIFTYTWO (7) ran a decent race over this distance at Scottsville last time. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on well at the finish. The son of Lancaster Bomber has dropped in the ratings and he may be the one to side with. TRIPPI T (6) resumes here after closing off his last prep with a win at this track. He should be right in this. HEREINAFTER (2) was in the money last start when third at Greyville over 1000m and peaks for this. Expected to be figuring in the finish. RHYTHM (4) finished ninth last start, beaten 8 lengths at Greyville over 1400m. Finds the right field to place.

FORT J'ADORE (4) has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She raced from a handy position over this distance on the turf last time but found one too good on the day. She has won twice and finished third twice from six starts over this course and distance. Raymond Danielson rides and she should go close if fit. GREY FANTACY (1) should have finished closer to the winner over 1000m last time. She is likely to race on the speed from pole position and if seeing out the 1400m may be hard to peg back. BEAUTIFUL RANIA (6) has fair recent form lines to her name. She drops back in class and has each-way claims. SHE'S A MACHINE (9) resumed from a spell last start when unplaced over 1600m at Greyville on turf. Tackles synthetic for the first time today. Worth noting she was in the money when second-up last prep.
8 08:45 Hollywoodbets BRIGHT FUTURE CLASS 4 1400m
WINTER WAVES (2) was running on when third over this distance at Scottsville last time. He has won three times, finished second four times and third twice from 21 starts over thiscourse and distance. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning form. STARS IN HEAVEN (11) is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this distance at Scottsville. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts on this course. With a bit of luck in the running, he can bring up the hat-trick. BENNI IN THE AREA (6) is better than his last start on the turf. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this course and distance. On previous form, he should be involved at the finish. KING'S ISLAND (10) won his last start over 1600m on this course. He returns from a spell. If not in need of the run, he should give a good account of himself.
