NUM TIME COMMENT
1 06:08 SYMONS LAXON RACING Maiden Plate 2200m
Cut Diamonds is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. NAVILLUS HELLFIRE (5) was beaten by a nose at the Gold Coast last week and the step up from 1800m to 2200m will be ideal. She is ready to go one better here. CUT DIAMONDS (4) can mix her form but meets a relatively weak maiden field here. She is normally running on and is capable of a top 3 finish this time. BETTER BELIEVE IT (2) battled away bravely when finishing midfield in a tougher field at Doomben 4 days ago and if this race has not come too soon for her, she will be right in the finish. SASSY TAP (6) might want a heavy track and if she strikes conditions to suit, she can run into the money. CITY OF TROY (1) has some hope in a poor field.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Navillus Hellfire to win.
2 06:38 PELICAN WATERS GOLF CLUB BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 2200m
Son Of Satono should be able to comfortably find the front. KOVANOS (2) will be suited to the small-sized field and was too strong for her rivals at Ballina just over 3 weeks ago. She is bred to excel over more ground and she can take the next step immediately. SON OF SATONO (3) was back in winning form when scoring at all the way victory at Kilcoy just over 4 weeks ago. He has been placed in all 4 starts here over the trip and can double the dose. OUR ORATOR (1) ran on late for fifth here a fortnight ago and was runner-up at Ipswich before that. The key here is the step up to 2200m for the first time this prep and he will be hard to hold out, especially with Robbie Dolan back in the saddle. MADALSA (4) can't be faulted for her consistency but she just can't seem to win another race. She is likely to race on the pace and another honest effort is on the cards.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kovanos to win.
3 07:08 HIGGINS COATINGS QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1000m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes for a tricky map. It is reasonable to assume a keen tempo over this sprint course. BENT BRIDGE (1) only got going late on debut at Doomben 9 days ago and will be better for the experience. He was runner-up at a trial before that and it is encouraging to see James Orman keeping the ride. On top. MISHANI BREEZE (7) just battled when making his debut at Ipswich 16 days ago and did not help herself by making a slow start. She benefits from a 2kg claim and will naturally improve with the run. Each-way claims in this even contest. SCRIPTUS VIVACE (5) hails from the Liam Birchley stable and is making her debut from a handy gate. The markets will be your best guide. Watch closely. ZOUSAIN GIRL (6) has been narrowly beaten in her only public trial to date and Mark Du Plessis has kept the faith from that hit-out. Each-way value. PRIDE OF NASHVILLE (2) will be peaking third up and he will find this much easier than his last start at Eagle Farm. Include in all combinations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Scriptus Vance each-way.
4 07:38 RACE ZONE RACING SUPPLIES QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200m
Always plenty of early pressure in sprint races such as this with a large representation of unraced runners. FASHION FLASH (5) did well during her initial prep through the spring and is resuming from a spell that would have done her the world of good. She won a trial earlier in the month by 2 lengths and will be ready to rumble fresh up. QUERIDA (13) roared home from last when finishing third here 2 weeks ago over 100om. The extra furlong will suit her and she should go close to having the last say in this. FRATIANNO (1) finished runner-up at his last run before having a spell. He will be a lot stronger this year and he looked sharp when finishing second in a recent trial. Watch closely. SAN JOSE BOY (4) made up some solid late ground when finishing third on the poly track here nearly 3 weeks ago. He strips fitter second up and another honest effort is expected. Each-way. WAKU WAKU (9) is on debut from a good draw. She was close up in her only public trial and is sure to have her admirers. Use the market as your best guide.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fashion Flash to win.
5 08:08 KENDRICK RACING Colts, Geldings and Entires BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Good early pace headed by Surfers Royale, Becamo and No Name Frank, with Cracker Essgee and Borrelli in their slipstream. NO NAME FRANK (5) stuck to his task gamely when finishing fourth here just over 5 weeks ago and was close up in third at Ipswich before that. He has the blinkers off for the first time and with a slight dip in grade, he will be hard to hold out. RIVER RIBBLE (6) did not run on as expected when making his Queensland debut nearly 2 weeks ago and did not help himself by making a slow start. He is better than that and from the pole position, he can improve quickly. Each-way. LION CLASS (4) is a very consistent gelding who is very competitive at this level. He was third in a tougher field last time out and will be among the hardest to beat here. ITALIAN DANCER (16) is a progressive gelding who is bred to improve with more racing and time. He would not mind some cut in the ground and has each-way claims here. BONJOUR RUPERT (15) was only beaten by a nose at Ipswich just over 8 weeks ago. Include in all multiples to be safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: No Name Frank to win.
6 08:38 MULTIMEAT AUSTRALIA Class 5 Handicap 1400m
Moderate tempo headed by Our Magnus, American President and Billionair Baby. OUR MAGNUS (1) may not have won a race for some time but has been racing in great form and was runner-up in a tougher race at Eagle Farm nearly a fortnight ago. The in-form Justin Huxtable is in the saddle for the first time and he could coax that little bit more out of this gelding where it matters most. On top. BILLIONAIR BABY (3) is racing well and handles any track conditions. He is 6 weeks between runs which would have done him no harm and he is expected to be right in the finish again. PRIME ASSET (2) got the decision by a nose here 2 weeks ago over 1200m and the extra furlong won't be an issue. Michael Rodd sticks with him and so do we. TAVISTORM (7) is resuming from a spell and normally comes to hand quickly. He has had a couple of tune-up trials and can give this a shake. TYNDRUM GOLD (5) did not live up to his earlier potential last prep and is resuming from a spell as a recent trial winner. If he is in the mood, he can win a race like this fresh up. Watch closely.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Magnus to win.
7 09:10 TAB BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1600m
Reasonable tempo with Midnight Drifter probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. LAVONI (6) deserves a winning turn after finishing runner-up for the third time in a row here 2 weeks ago by half-a-length. She slides down slightly in grade and has Sam Collett back in the saddle who knows her well. Hard to beat from the pole position. CLIPPER SHIP (3) was beaten by a wide gate last start and has a superior draw this time. James Orman picks up the ride for the first time and the pair merit healthy respect. SMART ACTION (5) raced his way into full fitness and got the job done by a length at Beaudesert 15 days ago. He won't find this much harder and should hold his form now. TOKYO BANDIT (7) made a slow start and never featured in the running when resuming from a spell at Warwick just over 5 weeks ago. He looked much sharper when winning a recent trial very easily and with the step up to a mile being ideal, he will be right in the finish this time. Each way. MIDNIGHT DRIFTER (4) was too strong in this grade here last start and only carries an extra 2kg here. Go again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lavoni to win.
