Good early pressure from Pisa Cake and Nazare's Impact BROWNED OFF (8) finally chalked up the maiden win last start, racing handy and quickening too well over 1250m at Taree. Drops 3.5kgs and is good enough to go on with the job. PISA CAKE (6) stalked the pace then dug deep to prevail by a narrow margin on debut recently over 1200m at the Beaumont track. Draws a nice gate and has tremendous scope for improvement so stick with her. THE YOUNG YEARS (4) worked home fairly to finish third to the smart Cool Duke over 1250m at Taree last start. That followed a one-month let-up so expect some progress this afternoon. The speedy NAZARE'S IMPACT (12) has disappointed in three runs this prep. Worth one more chance with blinkers going back on today. OAKLEIGH (13) is a recent arrival from Victoria. Struggled south of the border but could easily sneak into the frame here off a five-week freshen up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Browned Off to win again.
