Pace strong from Cinque Torri going forward, closely attended by The Instructor. THE INSTRUCTOR (1) resumed in the Group 2 Arrowfield Sprint at Randwick during the Championships and was outclassed. Ran some nice races last prep in stakes company. Has the quality to shoulder the big weight and take this out. BALKANS (9) overcame an awkward start to just miss last time out in a BM72 here at this distance. Cherry-ripe after four runs back and drops 2kgs. Ready to win. WOLVES (10) closed well to just get home over 1200m at Kembla recently, the second win in the past four starts. Up in grade but drops 5kgs and won't spend a penny from the inside alley. AVEBURY (3) returns from a seven-month spell. Will improve on what she does today but at her best she is a match for these. MARS MISSION (2) resumes. Goes well when fresh and his Saturday form from last prep reads well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing The Instructor in a race of many chances.
