Many of these step out for the first time so a frantic pace is likely early on over this sharp journey. BODHISATTVA (1) has been in the money in 6 of his 7 starts and it has been surprising that he has yet to break through. He will be that much stronger for this campaign and has found an even field for his return this year. He would probably prefer a softer surface but is still the one to beat whatever the track conditions may be. FIGHTING EDGE (2) ended up getting too far back from a wide gate at Geelong last start and was unable to make up the necessary ground in the run to the line that day. He has in-form senior hoop Billy Egan taking over from an apprentice this time and is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. ROADCONE (9) had 1 start in NZ at Te Rapa where he raced greenly throughout and has since been bought out of the Forsman stable and is making his Australian debut for the Moody/Coleman yard. His jumpout form is good and he can make his presence felt fresh up. HARD BOB (8) is on debut and has ability. A close market watch is advised. Each-way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Roadcone each-way.
