GOING: H(8)

TUNCURRY BEACH BOWLING CLUB COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1305m

Track: HEAVY 9   Rain (Max: 23)   Rail: Out 2m 1000m-350m. Cutaway Applies.

From the outside draw Cool Duke spears to the lead and sets a slick tempo. COOL DUKE (3) kept his perfect record intact when he led all the way and easily took out a Class 1 over 1250m at Taree last start, beating some of today's key rivals. Nicely in after the claim so with a bit of luck getting over from the wide gate he is the one to beat again. SO YOU SUGGEST (10) blew the start and was never a factor last time out in the race won by Cool Duke at Taree. Showed ability in her other two runs so if she gets away with them expect a bit more today. RUN RORY RUN (7) returns from a 16-week spell for a new stable. Has won three races, all at today's trip. Draws well and the blinkers go on for the first time. Watch the betting closely. HEIR APPARENT (2) ran second to an in-form galloper at the Beaumont track most recently. Very fit after three runs back so don't rule him out. Hard to knock PEE DEE (4) on the back of three straight wins. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cool Duke to continue his winning ways.
