Moderate pace only with Silver Needle leading Sun Leavenworth. SILVER NEEDLE (4) was successful last start over 2000m at this track, getting home by a neck to make it three wins on the bounce. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to figure in the finish. TRENCHTOWN (7) did a great job to score by 3 lengths over today's course and distance last start in a much improved run. Meets some better types this time but another big run is on the cards. TRUCK YARO (8) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when fourth in a 1500m contest at Kawasaki two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. RYU BUTTER (9) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fifth, beaten 9 lengths, over 1600m at Kawasaki. Solid top-three prospects.
