From the inside gate Romantic Fantasy has enough dash to challenge the fleet-footed Special Hedge for the lead. SHARPEN BRIGHT (7) gets the blinkers on again after rattling home from the rear last time out. A lot of this form ties in, but the addition of Blinkers is worth noting and he has settled much closer in previous efforts. Teetan rides again and he's expected to take plenty of beating. DARCI JOY (3) picks up James McDonald after a disappointed run as an equal favourite here 21 days ago. The wide draw is a little concern as he's likely to get back, but he's racing in good form and he appears the main danger. REACH GOAL (6) has been back to the trials since a strong effort over 2200m at Happy Valley 32 days ago. He hasn't won for a long time, but he ticks plenty of boxes with Purton in the saddle and an inside alley. Sure to be strong at the finish. GOLD TACK (12) rattled home at Happy Valley last time out and steps out to this trip for the first time. Looks set for a big effort.
