Momosan and Merveille should lock horns early at a strong clip. MERVEILLE (7) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 850m at Mizusawa. Taking on a better line-up this time but she is up to the challenge. KITANO TOPAZ (3) scored by 1.5 lengths over this distance at this track last time out. Excellent record here having never missed the placings in five starts, including four wins and one placing. Best form puts her right in this. CRAZY RICH (8) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a eighth over 1200m at Funabashi. Yet to miss the frame in two starts over this course and distance. Has the talent to take care of this field. MAI KAGURA (6) did a great job to score by a neck over this course and distance when resuming from a break last time out. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot repeat the dose.
