Looks a tactical race on paper with no early speed evident. NAGATA ACE (6) was a narrow winner last time over 1600m at this track with today's rider Wada Joji aboard. Nice weight drop so another big run is on the cards. HOKKO HANAMICHI (1) resumes from a spell of 11 weeks and is having his first outing under new trainer Yuya Yamazaki. Finished tenth at Kokura over 3390m at the opening run last time in work. Rates highly so expect him to be prominent. PERMANENTE (8) gave away a considerable start over 2200m at Funabashi last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth. Worth including. REACH A DEAL (7) finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1500m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Likely improver with bright prospects.
