Hot early pace from Sacambaya, Pomo Clapper and Ambitious Lady going hammer-and-tongs, with a few others keeping them honest. SACAMBAYA (1) showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1400m at Scottsville when finishing second of 14. He jumped inwards leaving the start, but was running on well at the finish. He is in a good space and with luck in the running can go one place better. AMBITIOUS LADY (3) resumes from a spell and is having her first run for the Tony Peter stable. She would have strengthened up during her time off the track and fresh-up rates well. OKLAHOMA TWISTER (4) was in the money two starts back at this track then missed the frame but was not too far away last time over 1500m at Turffontein Inside. Has good early pace and has solid each-way claims. POMO CLAPPER (2) raced wide around the turn last time and understandably weakened in the straight. His penultimate run when finishing third over 1700m was encouraging. He jumps from pole position and can finish in the placings.
