Cipher City is the probable leader in the small field. CIPHER CITY (2) went to the paddock after scoring at his last appearance three-and-a-half months ago over 1400m at Kanazawa. Lines up today for the first time for trainer Ryohei Hori. Expect him to play a major role. SHINZEN HACHIMAN (7) was in contention on the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1400m at this track. Excellent prospects in this suitable race. VINA CA MAU (6) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago here but was not as effective last time out when ninth over 1400m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can bounce back. LA LA BELLES DAMES (1) proved too strong two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when fourth over 1400m at this track. Has claims.
