GOING: G(4)

BARRIER REEF POOLS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1300m

Track: Good 4   Clear (Max: 17)   Rail: +3m 800m-400m; +4m Remainder. (Pent: 5.90)

Plenty of pace from I Promise You, Command Approved and Magic In Me matching motors ahead of Connecticut. CHINCHILLA AHEAD (7) just missed in a 70 first up and then didn't have the best of it as favourite in the same grade beaten 1.8L. Maps better and KWT is a key jockey switch. The yard is flying and this is winnable. LADY SOAMES (5) improved again winning this grade against her own sex. Draws awkwardly but keeps the 2kg claim and will threaten with average luck. THE DEPUTY (6) resumed with a solid effort at the Sunshine Coast and that stacks up. Fitter with a 2kg claim and finally draws an inside barrier. Has to be considered. I PROMISE YOU (4) is a leader who has been racing below her best. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and is on an 8-day return. She's in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Chinchilla Ahead.
