Good early pressure with Emelia's Magic or The Iron Star likely to take up the running. GOLDEN CENTURY (2) smart stayer resuming. Placed in the NZ Derby before joining the Waller yard last prep. Unwanted in betting and ran accordingly when seventh in the G1 ATC Australian Derby over 2400m last April. Winkers come off and fitted with the two respectable trials. J Mac rides and sure to be well fancied. SIRIUS LEGEND (5) closed off strongly at his first run back when a courageous second over 1400m at Randwick Kensington. Looking for this trip and further now and since fitted with a 1044m tick over trial. MOUNTAIN QUEEN (14) heavily supported ($1.40 fav), at her second race when a plugging fourth over 1600m at Gosford. Tempo suits and watch for her pouncing late. THE CRISTAL (9) returned for her second prep with a respectable second over 1500m here. Will relish Fitzgerald's 2kg claim and not to be underestimated. The chances don't end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Golden Century and Sirius Legend to slug it out.
