Satin Image has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. IOANE (1) ran a strong race first up in BM64 company at Geelong, off a short break there and sticking on well for fourth. He comes back in grade for this with added fitness and maps ideally from barrier two. Can land in the first couple and should take beating from there. SHIDAN (2) is a lightly raced type who won his maiden well two back at Sale, solid up to this grade last time as favourite. Can improve again here but he just needs some early luck from the gate. CHOCOLATE ROYAL (3) is racing consistently, off 54 days here and back in trip. This may be a touch sharp but he can be strong late. ADRETT (4) wasn't bad at Cranbourne in a stronger race last time and looks ready for another crack at 1600m in an easier race. SMOKIN' GIANT (12) maps well and can figure on an each-way basis. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ioane to win.
