Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Angie's Sister, Gold Sluice and Panta Rhei prominent. PANTA RHEI (3) hits the race at peak fitness and has the form to win. She was quickly back on track here last time on the heavy, and was narrowly beaten at Scone her first two runs this preparation. ANGIE'S SISTER (5) was heavily backed and led, demolishing the Wellington Maidens by 6L first-up on a heavy track. Keeps the handy 2kg claim and fitter she can lead them a merry chase. IT STAYS IN VEGAS (8) went close at Scone and deserved the easy Maiden win at Moree following, backed off the map. Carries just 53kg with the claim and has scope for more improvement. NOR NOR WEST (2) resumes and would be a hope if presented on song. Penza is a positive jockey engagement, and he has the gate speed to cross over and position forward.
