Welsh Starlet is likely to take charge and set a decent tempo. GLOBAL SCENE (1) is still a maiden after 17 starts, but her recent form has been decent. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung inwards over the final 350m. She is back against her own sex and if keeping on a straight line, she may be the one to beat in this line-up. WELSH STARLET (2) ran a decent race when third over 1600m on this course last time. She was steadied leaving the start and ran on at the finish. S'manga Khumalo is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her when it matters most. CHEAP THRILLS (7) is still a maiden after 13 starts. Managed to find the placings at this track two starts back before finishing fourth over 1900m at this track last start. Terrific chance to break through. PRESERVE FOREVER (3) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race when she worked home well and finished fourth last time out over 2000m at this track. Well worth an each-way ticket.
