Snip Of Romance is expected to lead at a keen tempo. UNFORTUNATE LAD (3) contested some good races at the end of last campaign, with the form out of those being strong in the races following. His trial coming in was solid and the inside draw should give him every opportunity. Looks a progressive type who can make his mark immediately. DEEPEST DESIRE (2) won a trial coming in and was too good first-up when leading and scoring by 0.9L. ZJP takes 2kg off today, but the fresh run suggested he can work through the grades this time in. Form may have been franked earlier in the card already and he can make his presence felt. SNIP OF ROMANCE (7) bumped into a progressive type last start at Belmont and should be up front from the outset again here. Won't be far away. DARK AVALANCHE (1) was solid on resumption without a trial and finished behind Snip The Romance there. Include. NEXT DESTINATION (6) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Unfortunate Lad goes on top.
