Anticipate Claim The Crown, Rock The Machine and Brilliant Knight to set a strong tempo. FIRM AGREEMENT (7) went to Ipswich last start after a couple of indifferent efforts in Sydney and was far too good for a Class 1 field over 2180m. Australian Derby placegetter last season who should go right on with the job now that he is back in form. BARAZIN (2) closed well to be beaten under a length over a similar trip to this at the Gold Coast two back. Less effective over 2000m at Gatton last time but back at this trip he looms as a genuine hope. CLAIM THE CROWN (3) has not raced since finishing a close third over 1900m at Canterbury five weeks ago. Might need this but cannot be ruled out. THUNDERING FALCON (8) won a Class 1 over a slightly longer journey here two back - in the mix at big odds with a repeat of that effort. BRILLIANT KNIGHT (5) ran a nice race here at this trip last time and is rock hard fit after four runs back from a spell. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Firm Agreement.
