GOING: G

RIVERVIEW HANDICAP 1080m

Track: SYNTHETIC   Clouds (Max: 12)   Rail: True.

Slick tempo with Entirely Oak to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. ROSELILY (6) was just fair on debut but improved quickly out to 1100m last time out, beaten just 0.5L. This race looks to set up nicely for her and getting back on top of the ground may be the key. Ticks a few boxes here and can secure her maiden victory. SPICE ALLEY (3) led them up over this track and trip when fresh from a break, though she couldn't hold on when beaten 2L as the race favourite. She'll be fitter for that effort and returned with a career best. Can raise the bar again now and make her presence felt. INSPIRING (2) faded out of contention at Wangaratta last start in his first run for the new stable, though that was on a wet deck. Back onto a firmer surface here and he'll be fitter now. Can turn in an improved run. CHARLIES (7) won a trial coming into this and can give some cheek for the new stable. ENTIRELY OAK (9) can't be left out of calculations on the back of a good last start effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Roselily looks the one to beat.
