Only a small field with Curcuma likely to find a comfortable lead. BROKEN WINGS (2) finished in the minor money at all four runs this prep and finds her race out to the 1200m today. Drifted back early and attacked the line late when a close-up second over 1000m at Walcha. No excuses from the draw. ANOTHER PEACH (4) is on a seven-day back-up after improving sharply with a strong on-pace second over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Finds fairly average opposition today and looks a hope. SCATHINGLY (3) slightly disappointing first-up when a plugging fourth over 1100m here. Extra trip in his favour and look for him late. PINOT NERO (11) was always well back and finished fifth over 1280m at Muswellbrook two weeks ago. Fitter and a place hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: Broken Wings to win.
