Off the inside draw Goreijo should bounce straight to the lead and set a solid tempo. HAKUAI ATHENA (4) found plenty to get the prize by 7 lengths three runs back at Morioka Dirt before filling a minor placing at her last two starts. Shinobu Murakami stays on. Should be in the finish. GOREIJO (1) had been in top form landing four consecutive wins before a last-start third over 1400m at this track. This looks a winnable race. STAR DRUMMER (8) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, finishing fifth. Best figures measure up and look for an improved run here. GROSSER BAR (11) was in the money two starts back at Morioka Dirt but was unable to repeat the effort last time when eighth at this track over 1400m. Top-three prospects.
