Genuine tempo with The Big Ticket and Wan Lost pressing for the lead.
WAN LOST (6) opened his career with a couple of close seconds then went to town last start and struggled to compete over today's trip at Rosehill. Back in his right grade today and this presents a great chance for the breakthrough win. ROCKBARTON SPEAR (9) couldn't go with them early but stoked up in the closing stages to finish fourth on debut over 900m at Newcastle 16 days ago. Far better placed over today's journey. Not drawn the best but with even luck he can play a key role. HELLFIGHTER (7) is back after a five-month spell. Best of three runs in the maiden campaign was a fast-finishing second over 1400m at Scone. One to watch for late in proceedings. LONGCHAMP LAD (3) recently returned from a 15-month absence with an encouraging effort over 900m at Newcastle where he found the line with gusto. Sure to derive great benefit from that hit-out. CARMINE (1) disappointed first-up as a short-priced favourite at Taree. Deserves another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wan Lost to win the opener.
