Not seeing a great deal of early speed. CLIODHNA MAEVE (3) resumed improved by a new yard, beaten a nose at Doomben. She went back and was swamped after leading. Will be fitter and back to a shorter sprint in country grade, she should have them covered. DIAMANTINA ROSE (8) debuts and owns a 6L Toowoomba trial win over this trip. Has a sweet draw and a bold run is on the cards. CHEEK TO CHEEK (7) resumed at Ipswich in good order and then wasn't as good on the heavy at Murwillumbah. She will be better for that, and Cartwright is reunited. In the mix on the quick backup. SPIRIT SEEKER (10) got close at Kilcoy and always puts in. Has the blinkers on for the first time and with average luck will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Cliodhna Maeve with the race form/fitness.
