BECOME A BRC MEMBER Maiden Plate 1350m
Dual Mastery, Emphatique and Phoenix Legend can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. Open race to kick us off. EMPHATIQUE (8) has been well in the betting in all three runs this preparation and looks to be building up to a maiden victory. Placed around this circuit two back and where there's smoke there's fire. Should give backers a sight up on speed. INDAMOUSE (3) has been just behind the placegetters at the past couple of outings and will be at peak fitness for this. Respect the Vandyke/Maloney combination. KONIGSTEIN (4) brings NSW formlines to the table and should be kept very safe. ST ANDREWS (7) was in the money two starts back here but couldn't back that up when unplaced over 1350m at this track last time. Next in line with the claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Emphatique to shed the maiden tag. |

GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB Maiden Plate 1350m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Zephyr Song leading the way. INDIGO STAR (4) has been plying his trade in harder NSW contests of late and should appreciate the drop back in company here. Has placed four of five over this distance range and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Looks well placed and gets his chance to finally break through. The well-related WEE WINN (11) (half to G2 winner Gunnison) is another to bring NSW form to the table and has been given a bit of freshen-up since that last Kembla outing. Respect any push in betting. BEV'S SPECIAL (9) also hails from a handy family (half to G2 winner Every Rose) and will be better with that debut effort now under the belt. Shapes as a leading contender with natural improvement. AGADOO (8) has hit the top-five at her past nine starts and rarely puts in a poor one. A must for the exotics players. SUGGESTED PLAY: Indigo Star to get an overdue victory. |

DRINKWISE QTIS Three-Year-Old Fillies Maiden Plate 1200m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a genuine tempo. COMPEL (2) is facing the starter for the first time but looked handy winning a trial here and Maloney stays on top for race day. Look for a bold debut run. METRIC (5) has been right there in all three career efforts and maps ideally for this from gate two. Fitter third-up and can strike. SUMMER SENSATION (11) performed well last start when third at Sunshine Coast over 1200m and should be at peak now. Gets in light with the claim and can give this a shake. EASY FEELING (3) Daughter of I Am Invincible from Peaceful on debut for the Gollan stable. Ran third at a recent trial and is worth watching for any market confidence. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,5,11,3. |

XXXX GOLD QTIS Three-Year-Old Colts and Geldings Maiden Plate 1200m
Captain Blood should lead at a slick tempo. Tricky race to assess with a few of these facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade WEOWNACHEVY (11) is unlucky to still be a maiden placing in both outings to date and strikes a winnable contest here. Gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. Former Victorian CAPTAIN BLOOD (3) is having his first run for the new yard but showed ability down south and trust that Gollan has him up to the mark following two recent trials. Rates a leading prospect. VUKAS (10) is on debut but looked handy winning a trial here and gets Thompson on board from a low draw. Respect any market confidence. RED POINT (6) just missed the frame at Eagle Farm on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. In the mix. THREEEYEDWITCH (7) has hit the top-four in all five starts to date and may earn some minor money again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Weownachevy. |

FAMILY RACEDAY BOOK NOW Class 1 Plate 1110m
Fast pace assured with Miss Vader, Quickzou and Mimi's leading the charge. Looks a competitive affair. The well-related MIMI'S (7) (half to G2 winner and G1 placed King's Gambit) is a former NSW galloper who got the job done at Eagle Farm first-up for the new stable and will have taken a bunch of confidence from that victory. Winning hoop Marshall sticks in the irons and can go back-to-back to start the campaign. VANESSI (11) doesn't win out of turn but will strip fitter second-up from the break and must be respected out of the champion Waller yard. Looms as the main danger. ERIMAR (12) just missed the frame when resuming and will have come on with that run now in the locker. Include with the 3kg claim. CRYPTIC BEAUTY (13) resumes here but showed enough when last in work to warrant consideration in a race like this. Can feature while fresh. DYAMI (1) next best from the inside marble. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 7,11,12,13. |

SKY RACING Class 5 Handicap 1660m
Gorbachev to take up the running with Bluepinot and Ring Bearer close at hand. GORBACHEV (2) is one from one over this course and distance and gets some weight relief with the 1.5kg claim. Can win again. BLUEPINOT (5) has won two from four around this circuit and will find this easier than recent Saturday metro outings. Watch for a spike in form. LOVEY DOVEY (6) has a win and a placing from two second-up attempts and can feature with any luck in running. VIXENETTE (9) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on. Include in all combinations. BOONDOCKS (7) looks close to a win following a sound second over 1400m at Eagle Farm, beaten 0.7 lengths. Fitter third-up and look for a big run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box trifecta 2,5,6,9,7. |

CENTURY POOLS Class 3 Handicap 1200m
Strong tempo expected with Miss Funny Honey, Kiwi Raider and Duke Of Camden prominent. Looks a wide-open affair. Former NSW galloper DUKE OF CAMDEN (5) went down by a narrow margin when having the first run for the new stable and will have taken some benefit from that hit-out. Only needs some luck navigating from the sticky draw to play a major role in the outcome. The well-related MISS FUNNY HONEY (10) (half to G1 winner Vega One) returned to the winners' stall last time out and gets in light with the 3kg claim. Shouldn't be discounted lightly. KIWI RAIDER (18) scored at Sunshine Coast when resuming then could only manage sixth there over 1000m three-and-a-half weeks ago. Fitter and in the mix. DARK ARTS (2) is resuming from a lay-off. Placed in a recent trial at Doomben to continue his good work in preparation for this. Opened last campaign with a second at Sunshine Coast over 1200m. Key runner. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 5,10,18,2. |

LADBROKES PLACE EXTRA BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1350m
Reasonable tempo with Rimbaud probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. RIMBAUD (2) has been plying his trade in harder Sydney races and will find this assignment much more to his liking. Saves his best form for this distance range and gets some weight off from a middle draw. Plenty to like about his prospects. HURRICANE LU (8) has a win and a placing from two attempts over this trip and will be rock-hard fit for this. In the mix. TOO DARN FINESSE (11) handy mare who is racing well, including a win last start over 1200m at Coffs Harbour. Include. HEADHUNTER (4) consistent galloper who has had two runs back from a spell and placed at both. Last start finished third, beaten 2.5 lengths over 1400m at Eagle Farm. Fitter third-up and can give this a shake. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Rimbaud. |
