GREAT NORTHERN QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1400m
Genuine tempo from Heart 'N' Power leading Leica Flamingo. HEART 'N' POWER (2) ran a better race last start when second-up from a spell, leading for home only to be swamped late over 1200m at this track. Less pressure today over this trip and she should be tough to catch. TURBO TORQUE (7) made it eight minor placings from 15 starts when he closed well but found a couple better over this distance at the Sunshine Coast poly last time out. Races well here and makes plenty of appeal with a big drop in the weights. NEXT LEGACY (3) has improved at each appearance this prep. Lengthened nicely to be beaten just half a length over 1200m here recently. Very fit and looks ready for a first crack at 1400m. LEICA FLAMINGO (6) was six weeks between runs when a close fourth over 1200m at this circuit last start. Has a good record here at the trip so she can progress from that last outing. FUNDORA (4) broke his maiden in impressive fashion at Warwick last Sunday. Can go on with it now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Heart 'N' Power on top in an even contest. |

TAB QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1100m
Tricky one to map with a number of debutants but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. CINCHICATED (9) started at $6.0 but was beaten out of sight at her only run to date over this trip at Doomben in January. Won a Sunshine Coast trial on 26 May. Clearly has more to offer so she deserves another chance. JETHRO (3) last appeared when a tiring fifth on debut over 1000m at Eagle Farm in November. Has switched stables and trialled okay at this track recently so a better run looks on the cards. MISS SO AND SO (10) returns from a three-month spell. Ran a decent race at her only appearance last prep, beaten under two lengths over this trip at Mackay. Has a tricky gate to deal with but otherwise makes plenty of appeal. PETER PROFIT (5) debuts. Unbeaten in three trials dating back to January. Very short in early markets so that trial form is expected to transfer to race form. Another first starter in NOJUNKMAIL (4) placed in a recent trial and is worth keeping tabs on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cinchicated each-way. |

WELCOME GOLD CLUB MEMBERS QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1100m
Tricky one to map with a number of debutants but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. NAUGHTY NANNA (7) started a $2.50 favourite on debut last start over 1050m at Toowoomba but after enjoying a nice run could not capitalise and just missed the placings. Likely improver who is in the right race to set the record straight. JUNGLE RHYTHM (1) returns from a 14-week spell. Has only raced once and did a good job to work home into second over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast. Expect that form to stack up favourably. CHARMING SEAHORSE (2) made it two minor placings from as many appearances when he battled on well for third over 1050m here recently. Will go forward from a wide gate and should be competitive again. POWER OF ANGELINE (11) didn't do a great deal first-up here but is capable of better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Naughty Nanna each-way. |

GARRARDS Maiden Handicap (QTIS bonuses applicable 2&3YO's only) 1050m
Remember The Boys, Musee Du Louvre and Astilla will not hold back as they vie for the lead from Gunnie Gunfighter and Capricornus. INKWELL (4) tucked in behind the speed then held his ground but never threatened on debut last start over 800m at Ipswich. Sure to appreciate a longer journey today. Hard to beat in a race with quite a few chances. CAPRICORNUS (3) last raced a month ago when he led and gave a kick but found one better over 1200m at Mackay. Draws a better gate this time. Sure to give backers a great sight. GUNNIE GUNFIGHTER (2) worked home well to finish third when resuming in an 800m Thangool maiden recently. More depth to this but expect him to be far more at home over the extra 250m. Market watch on REMEMBER THE BOYS (1) who has not raced since finishing second in a strong form race here in February 2025. Easy trial winner recently so the comeback looks on track. MUSEE DU LOUVRE (7) has led for home at both runs to date but succumbed late. Has improvement to come and the eight-day back-up is a positive sign from the stable. SUGGESTED PLAY: Inkwell each-way. |

KENNAS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1050m
Keen tempo with King Of The Vibe and Moochi Starlight prominent. KING OF THE VIBE (5) settled worse than midfield then worked home okay but was never a contender last start in a similar race to this. Gets some welcomed weight relief today and the field isn't dripping with talent so he gets his chance to return to form. BILLY BOOM (4) was beaten narrowly at his first two runs this prep then started favourite but didn't quicken as expected here at this trip last time. Draws a far better gate today and the blinkers go back on so he deserves another chance. MAKING HISTORY (11) didn't jump all that well but rallied late to be beaten under two lengths over this course and distance a fortnight ago. Not the most reliable conveyance but must be respected based on that latest effort. IMPACTFULL MISS (9) has been kept fresh since scoring over 1000m at Yeppoon seven weeks ago. Harder here but drops 4kgs with the claim so she should be thereabouts. MOOCHI STARLIGHT (6) returned in good order last start and is not out of contention. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing King Of The Vibe to topple the favourite Billy Boom. |

KORTE GROUP BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1600m
Skilful Artist, Cash Artist and Chayse 'N' Leisa can set a genuine tempo. SMART MISSION (1) was beaten a whisker over this course and distance two back then hung badly and was out of the placings as a $1.65 pop at Mackay last start. A seven-week let-up should freshen him up. The one to beat on his best form. OUT OF ACES (2) went to the front a fair way out the kept going for a tough win over 1400m here a fortnight ago. Has won over the mile before. Should put himself in the race and prove hard to run down again. INTREPID LAD (5) returned from a 27-week break with an effortless win in BM55 company over 1400m here recently. Kept ticking over with a subsequent trial win. Progressive four-year-old who looks ready to take on this better race. PROPOSE (7) has been freshened up since a return to form at Toowoomba five weeks ago. Back in trip but should be competitive. CASH ARTIST (3) wasn't disgraced in open company at Mackay last time out. Good miler who is nicely placed this afternoon. SUGGESTED PLAY: Smart Mission to win. |

TATTERSALLS GOLD CUP OPEN Handicap 1600m
Pepperdine has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. PEPPERDINE (5) improved sharply last start at the second run of the campaign, leading for home then defying all challengers over 1400m at this track, his seventh win from ten runs here. Equally as effective at the mile. Boasts a 50% win strike rate at this stage of the prep and he looks perfectly placed to improve on that record. DIVAKARA (6) made it two in a row when he came from the rear of the field to salute over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast last time out. Drops a massive 8kgs today and his record at this distance is impressive. Clearly a threat. GIVE ME SPACE (1) has switched from the Hayes stable to Rodney Hay since a midfield finish over 1400m at Sandown a month ago. Has never raced beyond 1440m but his form in Victoria against far better opposition reads well. AMENOPHIS (7) caught the eye over 1300m at Toowoomba last start, flashing home for a close second. Three-time winner at 1600m and drops sharply in the weights. The consistent ASTRA STAR (4) is a must for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pepperdine to win a good race. |

THE PEOPLES CUP IN ROCKY 10 JULY BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1300m
Inca Trail is the likely leader at a strong tempo. INCA TRAIL (3) made it four top three finishes in a row when he led but found one better over this distance on the Sunshine Coast poly three weeks ago. Form here earlier in the campaign was hard to fault. Has the gate speed to get across from a tricky draw and should be right in the finish. ITALIAN RIVIERA (2) worked home fairly but was a long way back in third last time out over 1400m on the Sunshine Coast poly. Will be rock hard fit at the fourth run back from a spell and can improve further. DEMITASSE (5) had a break of 45 days then ran a much better race last start, getting home well for third over this distance at Toowoomba. Should tighten right up following that latest hit-out. ASK ME MATE (6) returned from a long spell with an eye-catching effort over 1200m here last time out. Can race closer from a much better gate. Recent trial winner who is a definite threat. NIGHTSTICK (4) strips fitter at the third run back from a spell and will enjoy a return to the turf. SUGGESTED PLAY: Inca Trail to win. |

TATTERSALLS SPRINT OPEN Handicap 1200m
A solid tempo is anticipated with Pocket Full and Letmeletgo kicking up to hold out the next wave. JOY A PLENTY (12) won two runs ago over 1100m at Ipswich then had a seven-week break and dropped back to 1000m when an eye-catching third at the Gold Coast last start. Will take a lot from that outing and the step up to 1200m is ideal. The testing material. DON PEDRO (10) continued his excellent form this time in work when edged out in open company over 1400m here a fortnight ago. Nicely drawn and seems well treated on 55.5kgs. PRIDE OF VENUS (9) has been on or about the mark at her last four runs, the latest a desperately close second in open company over 1300m at Mackay. Yet to miss the frame in six Rocky starts, including four wins. Just needs luck from the wide alley to be highly competitive. BOLD COMIC (11) failed first-up at Doomben but this is a far easier assignment. Makes plenty of appeal with the help of an inside alley. LETMELETGO (2) has four wins and three placings from eight runs here at this trip. Fresh from a 45-day break and certainly in contention. SUGGESTED PLAY: Joy A Plenty to return to the winner's list. |

3 WEEKS TILL TAB ROCKHAMPTON CUP BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (QTIS bonuses applicable for 3,4&5YO's) 1200m
Royal Gladiator is the likely leader at a strong tempo. UNDERRATED (9) settled midfield then worked home okay but was never a winning chance last start over this course and distance. Draws a better gate this time and the senior rider takes over. Ready to peak at the third run back from a spell. SCRUFFY (12) stormed home to win first-up over 1050m at this track. Missed the kick and was never a factor on the tight Gatton circuit last time. Has a wide gate to contend with but she looks a serious threat back on at Rocky where she has three wins from four visits. ROYAL GLADIATOR (5) recorded a win and a game third in two runs on the turf at the Sunshine Coast to launch this prep. Less effective last time on the poly track there. Cherry ripe now and can improve back on the turf. EL FORTRESS (10) wasn't far away last time and can improve third-up. ITZA MOTZA (13) impressed when successful here last start. Back in form and shouldn't be let under the guard again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Underrated a nice each-way bet in the last. |
