NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:08 GREAT NORTHERN QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1050m
Not a great deal of speed on paper so it may be left to one of the debutants to take it up. Tricky race to kick off the card with a few of these facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade SHEMAKESMENERVOUS (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden hitting the top-five in ten of her past 11 starts and strikes a winnable contest here. Tuned up for this with a recent trial placing and maps ideally from gate two. Goes on top. ASK ME HARRY (8) has placed over this track and trip and will be rock-hard fit for this. Looms as the main danger. MUSEE DU LOUVRE (5) is on debut but has shown some ability at the trials and gets some weight relief with the 3kg claim. Keep very safe. MARBLE WARRIOR (4) is another at the races for the first time and any market support must be noted. MONSIEUR AMOUR (1) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Shemakesmenervous to finally shed the maiden tag.
2 12:43 TAB Maiden Handicap (QTIS bonuses applicable 2&3YO Only) 1400m
Holler Dash to find the front in the small field. TURBO TORQUE (2) has placed three of four around this circuit and gets some weight off with the 3kg claim. Rates a genuine top-three contender against this line-up. The well-related HOLLER DASH (8) (half to Listed winner and G3 placed I Am The Boss) put in a career-best performance last time out and looks to be improving with racing. Could present some value at odds. ALWAYS DELIVERS (1) has been thereabouts in both starts to date and may earn some minor money. CASH PIT (6) gets in well at the weights with the claim and can make his presence felt with any luck in running. WATCHFUL WILDERNESS (3) next best with Wiggins in the stirrups.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Turbo Torque to break through.
3 02:34 THE AGENCY Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Humble Hero leading the way. BLITZWATER (1) has been right there in both runs this campaign and will be ready to peak now third run back from the spell. Gets some well-needed weight relief with the 3kg claim and should be right there when the whips are cracking. HUMBLE HERO (7) goes well for hoop Summers who is yet to miss a drum in four steers. Top-three aspirations on recent form. The well-related LUXOR PRINCE (8) (half to 2xG3 winner and 2xG2 placed Egyptian Symbol) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and is a must for the multiples. MONDAY CHOICE (9) rounds out the selections in a contest where every runner has a hope.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 1,7,8,9.
4 03:04 TAB ROCKHAMPTON CUP ON SALE BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600m
Not seeing a great deal of early speed. JETPACK VERDI (9) has hit a purple patch of late with two wins and a second from his past three outings and is racing with a lot of confidence. Winning rider Fenlon stays on board and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. BOOM BOOM BELLA (6) has won two of three over this course and distance and gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim. Cheery-ripe fit now and can make her presence felt. OUT OF ACES (4) is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from the inside alley and looks a top-three prospect on best figures. BETTER THAN WORDS (5) is a bit hit or miss but is more than capable enough on her day. In the mix. THEBARBEROFSEVILLE (3) best of the rest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Jetpack Verdi to win again.
5 03:35 CS ELECTRICAL OPEN Handicap 1050m
Expecting a solid pace primarily from Sunnycoast. KING SPIRIT (9) grows a leg for hoop Tierney who has three wins and a placing from just five rides and again gets the benefit of her 3kg claim. Is yet to miss a quinella spot in three spins over this course and distance and should be right there at the business end. DOUBTING EYE (3) saves his best form for his home circuit here and will strip fitter second-up from the break. Likely to play a role in the outcome. DEHORNED UNICORN (7) resumes here but has a handy first-up record and can run a big race while fresh. SUNNYCOAST (4) is a three-time winner here who gets the services of gun hoop Wiggins in the irons. Has to be included in calculations. MEDIA EMPIRE (8) next in line.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 9,3,7,4.
6 04:05 NORRIS HAIR ROCKHAMPTON BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1050m
Lollies and Lady Consort possess good early speed. LOLLIES (10) has started the career in fine fashion with two wins and a placing from just three outings and looks the runner in this field with the most upside. Hard to knock fillies in form and rates as the one that they all have to run down. IDHANA (4) has placed over this track and trip, gets 3kg off with the claim and maps ideally for this contest from gate four. Ticks a few boxes. Former Victorian CRYOSEISMS (7) couldn't have been more impressive saluting at his first run for the new stable and will have derived a stack of confidence from that breakthrough victory. Top-three credentials. UNDERRATED (2) best of the rest while fresh.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Lollies.
7 04:35 WILLIAM BAULCH MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Genuine pace with Botanica finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged.  VICTORY'S GHOST (9) was too bad to be true last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Best figures measure up well and is sure to be there at the business end. LONERGY (5) has a solid record over this distance range with two wins and two placings from six attempts. Rock-hard fit for this and looms as the main danger. ASK ME MATE (2) resumes here but has revved up for this with two recent trials and gets some weight relief with the 2kg claim. Should be involved in the finish. RED BEAUTY (4) strips fitter second-up from the spell and is sure to get a gun run for Wiggins from gate three. In the mix. BOTANICA (7) next in line.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 9,5,2,4.
8 05:05 DC HOUSE RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Notforthemoney heading them off. SUMICH (8) broke the maiden status in impressive fashion at Mackay last time out and will have taken some confidence from that victory. Winning rider Cormack stays on top and can go back-to-back without surprising. THE LAST SAGA (3) is a four-time winner over this track and trip, draws the inside alley and gets 3kg off with the claim. Plenty to like about his prospects. MILK MAID (12) was a touch disappointing at the latest effort but go on the solid win at Mackay two back. May bounce right back with the low weight. HEROIC BEACH (6) will find this easier than recent south QLD outings and can improve sharply from the low draw. One for the exotics. NOTFORTHEMONEY (7) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 8,3,12,6.
