NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:00 Ladbrokes Odds Surge 2YO Maiden Plate 1100m
A full field of first starters over the sprint trip which should see a genuine tempo. Looks a handy maiden but a bit to work through, albeit a few key scratchings have altered the field. CYBERSECURITY (1) is a nicely bred colt by Home Affairs out of multiple Group winner Tulip who kicks off for the Hayes yard. Wary and will pay to watch the betting with Mott on from a good draw. SAINT WILLO (4) is a colt by St Mark's Basilica for the Hayes yard who has also been jumping out well and has strong claims, respecting. SECRET ALLIANCE (14) is a Microphone filly for the Stokes yard who cruised to win a recent jumpout and looks ready to go, expect she takes some beating as well. THE PALLET MAN (7) is a gelding by Admire Mars on debut who has won a couple of jumpouts and has claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Cybersecurity.
2 01:30 Cathcart Smash Repairs Maiden Plate 1000m
Solid tempo anticipated with Scoobartie and Codename leading the way. SCOOBARTIE (4) is knocking on the door and finds the right race. He's just found one better in both starts this time in at Swan Hill and will kick up from the inside gate in what looks a winnable affair. CODENAME (1) has finished third in all three runs this time in, trying hard at Donald on heavy ground last start. He looks a logical danger. SCUSIES (9) resumes. She mixed her form last time in but showed glimpses of ability and can be better this time around. Look for him to be hitting the line. JASMINA (8) has been okay in two runs back on heavy ground and can challenge for a top three finish. SPARKLING AWARD (10) struggled at Pakenham last time but was thereabouts fresh and can improve.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Scoobartie to win.
3 02:00 Workforce Extensions Maiden Plate 1400m
Genuine tempo from Knights Emperor leading Iberian Lynx. IBERIAN LYNX (7) looks well placed. The first-up run at Ballarat was good when finding the line nicely to grab second, beaten 1.5 lengths. Doubt he'll find this any tougher and he showed last campaign that a maiden win wouldn't be far away. Go close. DURHAM (5) has four minor placings from six starts this time in work, the latest as favourite over 2000m at Mildura. Comes back in trip off a let-up but will be strong late. KNIGHTS EMPEROR (18) resumes. He didn't beat a runner home on debut at Beaumont Newcastle last time in but has jumped out well and is worth keeping safe for the top yard. PICK A SYMPHONY (8) next best off a solid return at Swan Hill, each way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Iberian Lynx to win.
4 02:30 Race Services 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate 1300m
Despite the wide draw Grandstraz has the dash to cross and lead a low-pressure contest. Looks a perfect race for MISSION OF JOY (12) who resumes here. She had two runs in her maiden campaign, second on debut at Mornington when well backed before a solid effort in town behind a couple of handy ones. Like her at 1300m here and she should take holding out. OUTSIDETHESQUARE (13) is a filly by So You Think on debut for the Begg yard. She's jumped out well enough and this trip should suit nicely first time out. FULL DISPLAY (8) ran a credible race on debut at Swan Hill when well supported, third to one who has won again since. She can improve and take beating. FAITH IN ZADAR (6) is fresh for this but going well and in the mix, as is AZULITA (1) who ran well on debut and can improve.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mission Of Joy to win.
5 03:00 Prowse Plumbing Fillies & Mares BM62 Handicap 1300m
Princess Mess and Marine Empress will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. PRINCESS MESS (1) can bounce back. She won two in a row to start the campaign, stepping up in grade last time at Sale when battling well as a $2.90 chance. Back to her pet trip of 1300m and back a notch in grade, she looks very hard to run down again. MARINE EMPRESS (5) resumes with a nice profile. She's never finished outside of the quinella, albeit getting over a bit further to 2000m before the break. She draws well and can sprint strongly. PINOT FOR MIKE (6) has been good in two runs back and should be ready to peak. Tough draw but look for her down the outside. LANTANA (10) is racing consistently with three minor placings in a row, she maps ideally and should be right there again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Princess Mess on top.
6 03:30 RMBL Investments Rising Stars Race 1000m
Strong tempo with Condor, Da Nang Star and Weapon Clear leading the way. STAR TRIP (13) resumes. He's a lightly raced colt who brings strong form from two runs to date, beating Gold Coast Belle (since a listed winner) on debut at Seymour as favourite before just missing a sharp one at Mornington. Profiles nicely for this and will take beating. IN HASTE (4) was much better second up at Seymour and should get another good run on speed here, respecting. ENDLESS FOREVERS (10) ran well fresh at Ballarat to grab third and can improve with each-way claims. SURPRISATIC (2) ran a good race first up off a short spell, comes back a notch in grade for this and will take some holding out if the gaps come from the inside gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Star Trip to win.
7 04:00 McDonald Electrical BM62 Handicap 2400m
Expecting Prince Pinot to take up the running with Flashlight and Autumn Diamonds close at hand. AURORA RISE (7) is racing consistently without winning, close up in the G3 SA Fillies Classic in Adelaide two back before another good effort at Swan Hill behind Vegas Jack, who has since won nicely at Flemington in tougher grade. The form looks good and she should take beating. BRILLANTEZZA (10) is a lightly raced filly who gets up in trip here which should suit. She was well backed at Wangaratta last time but struggled on the bottomless track. Can improve quickly. FLASHLIGHT (1) is racing well, just missing last time at Donald over 2200m. This is his best trip and he should take plenty of catching. SASTERION (11) struggled over 3600m last time, the maiden win prior can see him improve.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Aurora Rise on top.
8 04:30 Budget Car and Truck Hire BM62 Handicap 1500m
Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Le Beau Gosse, The Mean Fiddler and Verona Rupes to control the tempo. CENTU CAVADDI (8) gets another chance third-up. He made good improvement last start at Seymour when just nosed out nearer the inside as the winner came very wide. Up an extra 100m again will suit and he can run another strong race at each-way odds. TERRORTORIAN (2) won two on the bounce prior to last start when struggling in much tougher company on heavy ground at Flemington. This suits much better and he'll take beating. DRECK (12) is coming off a nice maiden win at short odds at Ballarat and can continue to progress with more improvement to come. THE MEAN FIDDLER (9) struggled fresh at Swan Hill but can strip fitter and up in trip will suit much better.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Centu Cavaddi each-way.
