NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:20 Race 1 800m
GIRL'S DREAM (5) showed early speed from a good draw last start then battled on well for third, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 900m at Kawasaki. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race. CHACONNE (1) finished seventh when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 800m at this track, beaten 7 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MADAME FANTASIA (10) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 5.5 lengths when fourth in a 800m contest at this track three weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. RYUNO ARDERN (6) is back at the races for the first time since November 7. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 800m at this track. Has found the right race and is worth including.
2 12:50 Race 2 800m
TOA RHODANTHE (1) scored two runs back then was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish seventh over 800m at this track after she was prominent at the bend. Can bounce back. SASAKIN POPPY (7) was in the firing line all the way and fought on for second last start over 900m at Kawasaki, making it two minor placings in a row. Meets a stronger field but she is up to the task. M T STAGE (6) resumes from a spell of five months and is having her first outing under new trainer Yutaka Kawashima. Finished seventh at Monbetsu over 1000m at the opening run last time in work. Solid top-three hope. MEGU (12) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing sixth at this track over 1500m. Likely improver who should be competitive.
3 01:20 Race 3 1400m
DAIMEI BUTTERFLY (9) was unplaced on debut then last start finished third over 1400m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another big run. WAVES LEAPS (8) is on debut for the Kenichi Shigeta stable. Three-year-old colt by Mozu Ascot from Peisha Ballade. Serious contender, particularly if solid in the market. G T PUDDING (4) is a nicely bred three-year-old filly lining up for the first time. By Satono Diamond from Princess Neige who has a high percentage of winners-to-runners. Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters. Promising type who is one to keep tabs on in the betting. EGAL (11) returns after six months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 1300m at this track. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
4 01:50 Race 4 1400m
AL CORE (5) is back after a break of four-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff he finished 12th over 1300m at Tokyo Dirt. Well placed and happy to have him on top. MIRAIO PLUS NI (3) looked good at her only appearance three months ago over 1400m at this track, finishing second and beaten 1.5 lengths. Has a low draw and should be in the finish. TRIQUETRA (7) broke through for his maiden win over 1200m at Funabashi last time. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Winning rider Akira Harita sticks and he is a solid top-three hope. TRANQUIL LIGHT (6) debuted with a third, beaten 7 lengths, over 800m at this track at her only appearance to date. Sure to be competitive.
5 02:20 Race 5 1400m
CIEL LA VICTOIRE (9) finished third when resuming two runs back at this track then progressed nicely last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 1500m at Kawasaki. It doesn't get any easier but on current form she is capable of testing her rivals. TAKI (5) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fifth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 1400m at Kawasaki. Has further improvement to come and is among the leading chances. SANONO TARUMAE (7) wasn't far away last time at big odds, finishing second over 1400m at this track. Must be included. POWER OF THE KING (3) was below his best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 11 lengths over 1400m at this track. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
6 02:50 Race 6 2000m
SPRING NEIGE (4) finished 11th at this track and distance at her last appearance three months ago. Looks a winning chance. YAMABUKI (9) failed to figure again last time over 2000m at this track, beaten 28 lengths into 11th. Has enough ability to test this field. STHENNO (8) finished 12th two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by 1.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend over 2000m at this track. Finds a suitable assignment and can continue the winning form. INVENTION (2) ran a better race last start, finishing 9 lengths away in fourth over 2000m at this track. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
7 03:25 Race 7 1400m
MARRON LUPINUS (10) turned in a modest performance when third last start over 1400m at Kawasaki, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a good first-up win at Kawasaki. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough. SEIUN KOCHO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths into seventh. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. FANTA FESTA (8) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was in contention on the corner before being beaten 6 lengths into fifth over 1400m at this track. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MISSILE BISCUITS (11) finished tenth over 1400m at Kawasaki at her most recent appearance on January 3. Definite top-three chance.
8 04:00 Race 8 1400m
G T ENGINE (13) sat on the pace and stuck on well to score by 1.5 lengths at this track and trip when resuming from a spell last time out. Taking on a better line-up this time but he can get the job done. FLASH TIME (1) was comfortably accounted for when third last time out over 1500m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. AKANE SEIKO (6) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at Kawasaki two starts back then landed the prize by one length last time out over 1500m at this track. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well.

DREAM FIGHTER (8) resumes after a break of eight months. Hoping for a repeat of his debut win over 800m at this track to kick off last prep. Leading contender. FEITIAN (9) finished fourth when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out after being in the firing line on the turn to score by 2 lengths over 1500m at Kawasaki. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. PICARESQUE HERO (1) is a nine-start maiden who finished seventh at his most recent appearance over 1500m at Kawasaki. Worth including in this suitable contest. GOLD LINE (5) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last time over 1500m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Capable of another strong performance.
10 05:10 Race 10 1400m
BEST FIELD (1) was prominent in the run and gave a sight when fresh from a spell last start, finishing second over 1400m at this track. Has never been out of the placings at the second run back from a spell from three tries and should be fitter with a run under the belt. Winning chance. BACKBEAT (7) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Kawasaki, finishing second and only 2.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 1400m after being in contention on the bend. Going up a level this time but he is good enough to play a major role. NERAIUCHI (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to get the prize. STOIC NOAH (5) turned in a solid run last time when boxing on to finish fourth at Funabashi. Suited at the longer journey now and can run a cheeky race at odds.
11 05:45 Race 11 1500m
LIVI FACE (1) scored at his last run over 1500m at Kawasaki on May 9 2024. Has switched stables during a break. Generally runs well when fresh with two wins and three minor placings from five runs. One of the main contenders. TONOPAH (5) last appeared when he scored over 1400m at this track on January 8. Rates highly and should take some beating. LOVE AND HAPPINESS (3) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest offering a second, beaten one length, over 2000m at Kawasaki. Yoshimi Hanzawa who has scored on her six times retains the mount. Likely improver with strong claims. EDONO BANZAI (9) did a great job to score by a neck over this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
12 06:20 Race 12 2000m
SPIN DIEGOAL (4) ran on strongly only to just miss last start over 2000m at this track. Has race fitness on his side now. Going well and has strong prospects. ISANA (5) hasn't made an impression since resuming despite market confidence. Last start could only manage ninth over 2000m at Kawasaki. Rates highly on best figures. PLATI CLAIR (3) finished 20 lengths adrift in 13th last time at this track in a disappointing performance. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. RED GATE (8) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 14 lengths away in ninth over 1500m at this track. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
