1 06:00 Good Friday free entertainment for the kids Maiden 1400m
A solid tempo on the cards with Kion's Kingdom taking charge. Tricky and the betting will prove instructive. RAIDER'S OWN (2) trialled well after a long break and then surprised the market here first-up, beaten less than 2L over 1220m. He's sure to have taken benefit from that outing and is likely to go close. KION'S KINGDOM (1) led in the same race on debut, well-supported, but folded right up. Has won two Longford trials prior and Pires is engaged this evening. It won't be a surprise to see quick improvement. SPECIMEN (3) resumed as favourite this track/trip, but he punctured badly after racing handy. Has an inside gate and with the extra fitness gets another chance. GENUINE LADY (6) found one much too good on the synthetic but went well enough this track/trip before to give her a chance. Has a top hoop aboard this evening, a low gate, and the blinkers on for the first time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Raider's Own.
2 06:30 Go Racing Good Friday @ Ladbrokes Racing Centre Maiden 1200m
Dubai Affair should lead at a keen tempo. CALIFORNIA FLYER (6) has switched from a Victorian stable on a 16-day return. Was beaten 1.4L at Caulfield Heath when last seen and will have taken improvement from that. The speedy galloper can use the inside barrier and should have these covered. DUBAI AFFAIR (7) was heavily bet to win at Hobart, resuming off a long spell, but folded up after racing handy. She's been desperately unlucky not to have broken through and a top hoop sticks aboard. Sharp improvement is likely. UNFILTERED (5) was lining up for just the second time, beaten 1.5 lengths this track/trip. Did a good job placing prior here on debut and has a handy 2kg claim. He'll be in the money. MCVEIGH (4) was a big Longford trial winner but got too far back on debut. Has been freshened and a much better effort is likely.  SUGGESTED PLAY: California Flyer to win.
3 07:00 Easter Bunny visit on Good Friday Class 4 1200m
Moderate pace only with Mastretta leading It's Jagger Time. LADY GALADRIEL (5) brought strong form from this grade and then found the Group 3 Vamos Stakes too much of a stretch. Much better suited at this level and switching back 200m. Winning rider Byrne Burke is reunited, and she can get back on track. MASTRETTA (4) improved sharply when just missing here over 1100m and then came back and led beaten 2.4L in a 68 this trip as a $2.4 favourite. She deserves another chance. FLYING CONCELLO (2) won that contest on resumption. Had switched from a Victorian yard and is much improved. Carries 3kg more but has to be considered. IT'S JAGGER TIME (3) resumes with a Longford trial win under the saddle. He will be around the mark if he's on song.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Galadriel appeals most.
4 07:30 Good Friday Easter Egg Giveaways Maiden/Class 1 2100m
Geegees Royal Duke should be able to comfortably find the front. MERLIN BEACH (5) stepped up from a mile and was given time to settle from an outside draw before winding up strongly for an eye-catching second over 2150m at this track. Fourth up now and he's all set to break through. SIR JAG (3) finished 1L behind the above in that contest at big odds, enjoying the longer journey. Hasn't won for a long time but that was easily his best recent effort. He may sit closer today and can make the finish again. LORD HEAR US (4) improved beaten 3L at Hobart over this distance and has the blinkers applied for the first time. He should be running right into it. Hard to see any of the remainder threatening. MISS NIAGARA (6) has been briefly freshened and may be the best of them.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Merlin Beach to win.
5 08:00 Ladbrokes Spring Hosted Pots BM60 Hcp 1600m
Who Can It Be Now, Always A Winner and Montezulu can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. ELEGANTLY WRITTEN (4) has disappointed her last two on the synthetic, but her form this track/trip stacks right up for this contest. Dopes in grade with a handy 1.4kg claim, and she's found a winnable assignment. Things didn't work out for GODDESS OF ROCK (8) at Hobart a month ago, but her form prior over this distance stacks right up. The inside gate has to be managed but she rates a player. DESIGNER DREAMER (2) spiked his figures winning a 68 this track/trip and has scope for further improvement. Draws awkwardly but is in the mix. MONTEZULU (3) won and then just missed following in 60s before a plain effort in the race won by the above. He's better than that and has the tongue tie on for the first time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Elegantly Written to win.
6 08:30 Free kids movie on the big screen Good Friday Class 2 Hcp 1400m
Strong tempo assured from Coastal Strike and Artillery Fire leading the charge. ARTILLERY FIRE (5) missed a neck here and then lifted her figures again, easily winning a CL1 over 1220m as the market expected. Races forward and draws the inside gate this evening. Keeps the 1.5kg claim, and the longer sprint shouldn't bother. She can go on with it. AZONTO (2) has returned to racing further improved. Just missed here over 1200m second-up, and the step-up to 1400m suits. Draws wide so will need a touch of luck. Stablemate BAYSIDE (3) has the ability but has been mixing trips. Went close over a short course on the synthetic last time, following a 2L defeat at Hobart over a mile. 1400m is his sweet spot, and he maps to get every chance. JENNI THE CAT (7) was last seen 40 days ago at Stakes level over a middle distance. Goes well on the fresh side and won at her only go at this track/trip. Maps well and is worth keeping onside.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Artillery Fire.
7 09:02 Good Friday Family Fun Day BM76 Hcp 1400m
A solid tempo on the cards with Stone Cold Stunner leading the way. PEROLA (7) had been within range in Listed and Group company over this distance before a 1.9L defeat here, dropping back to 1100m in Open grade. Arrives on a 7-day back-up and is much better suited grade-wise and over this distance. Should enjoy a soft run and will be hard to beat. ZANY GIRL (10) is a stakes winner and has raced at Group 3 level the last two. Will find this more to her liking and Byrne Burke is a positive jockey engagement. STONE COLD STUNNER (4) missed a nose here over a mile and then tackled the Group 3 Vamos Stakes over this distance, beaten 2.3L. Has a handy 3kg claim and should be right in it. MAGNAPRIME (1) missed the hat-trick here this trip by a wisher, at a short quote. Maps well and has been kept on the fresh side. Is sure to race well again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Perola appeals most.
8 09:36 Ladbrokes Racing Extras in Multi BM68 Hcp 2100m
Tideford should be able to comfortably find the front. TIDEFORD (4) finished third two runs back at Hobart in a CL1 and then improved again last time out to score by 2 lengths over 2150m at this track. Led them a merry chase in that and tumbles 4kgs in this grade. He's going to be tough to catch. SPRING BEAN (1) turned things around last start, scoring by a long neck over 1880m after being prominent at the turn at Devonport Synthetic. Improved here over this trip prior and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Rates to make the finish. MOORLANDS MISS (5) switches back to a middle distance and will find this easier than the Tasmanian St Leger the latest. Placed this track/trip prior and is on a 7-day backup. ROYAL DISPATCH (3) has been in the market at his last couple of starts over 1600m but hasn't made an impression. Last time he tackled this trip, he was narrowly beaten here on a 68. Has a 2kg claim, and a better effort is likely.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Tideford.
