Ladbrokes Mega Multi Maiden Plate 1200m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of first starters. Just four left post scratchings which will likely see a tactical affair. RADICAL DUDE (4) is a gelding by Farnan on debut for the Freedman yard. He's looked good at the jumpouts, coming away to win his latest well. Looks ready to go and can measure up first time of asking. WYANDRA (5) didn't fire first up at Caulfield Heath but that looked a stronger race, battling away to finish seventh in a good maiden. He can do much better here with that run under the belt. ADAVALE (6) is a filly by Magnus on debut for the Moody & Coleman yard. She's jumped out okay. DISCOVER LUPINO (1) is a gelding by Overshare on debut for the Cliff Brown yard who can also run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Radical Dude to win. |

Springvale RSL Maiden Plate 1200m
Not a great deal of early speed and Le Notre may be the one that takes it up. CIRCUS CIRCUS (5) resumed with an even run first up at Pakenham over 1100m, holding her ground there midfield to be beaten two lengths. Suspect she'll be much better over more ground and she gets a bit of that now with natural improvement to come. LE NOTRE (9) resumed with a good run at Stony Creek, working home to be beaten under a length. She could look to be positive from out wide here and take running down. JEWEL OF HEAVEN (8) resumes having been thereabouts on debut in a handy Geelong maiden. She's been given plenty of time to mature and can be a sharp improver this time around. DAME FLORENCE (6) is a Zoustar filly for the Maher yard, respect any support. SUGGESTED PLAY: Circus Circus on top. |

Hertz Maiden Plate 2540m
Luigi The Brave should be able to comfortably find the front. LUIGI THE BRAVE (4) looks the one to beat. He's had a few chances but is knocking on the door, on the quick backup here from Yarra Valley on Sunday where he stuck on well for third. Out to 2520m here should be fine and the opposition looks very limited. SO VOGUE (5) was okay in a bunched finish at Kyneton last time out and looks ready to step up in trip now fourth up. He can track the speed and challenge. SIVA TAU (8) was well beaten first up but had shown some staying promise last time in and could be a quick improver. THE LONG MOVER (9) put in the best run of his career at Pakenham out to this trip last time and is worth consideration despite a let-up between runs. SUGGESTED PLAY: Luigi The Brave to win. |

Core Protective Group Maiden Plate 1400m
Power Of Money, Let It Beel and Salarae can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. Keen to be with LET IT BEEL (2) who ran a most encouraging race first up at Sandown Hillside over 1300m, getting home strongly for third in what looks a stronger maiden than this. He was knocking on the door in better company last time in as well and sets up perfectly from the gate. Rates as the one to beat. PASIFAE (9) resumes having run in a good 2yo race on debut at Ballarat when fourth. She was big odds there but can be improved this time around with gear changes made. SALARAE (5) has run fourth in both starts to date, just struggling to get into a race dominated up on speed last time. She can be an improver. WRITTEN STORY (6) didn't fire fresh but that was a strong maiden at Pakenham and she can do better. ZOUDEADLY (3) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Let It Beel to win. |

Happy 100th Birthday Don Smith Handicap 1600m
Only a small field with Finance Shogun likely to find a comfortable lead. BOLD STRIKE (3) finds the right race to be breaking through. Three runs this time in have been okay, not seeing the best of runs off a short break last time in a 0-66 at Caulfield Heath. He's better than that and sets up well here. His best form goes close. FINANCE SHOGUN (2) has won two on the bounce in easier company, scoring by 1.5 lengths at Kilmore when last seen. He'll be up on speed with the 3kg claimer booked again and should take catching. RYANMAN (7) has placed in his past couple and is another speed influence who can push forward and give a sight. SUPER SOLAR (4) struggles to win but has place claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bold Strike to win. |

Browns Sawdust & Shavings Handicap 1200m
An absence of early speed provides Dominant Miss with the opportunity to lead. SERINDA (3) ran a solid race first up at Sale when well supported, boxing on solidly for third there with improvement to come. This doesn't look any harder and with natural improvement and fitness she can get the job done. JACKIE'S MAID (1) won easily first up at Kyneton, coming from well back to score impressively. Stringing two together has been a bit tricky but she has to be respected. QUEEN AMANJENA (2) ran well fresh at Caulfield Heath behind a handy mare in Torsheen, boxing on for third in a field of six. This is easier and she did win in this grade before a spell. ICHIBERU (5) just found one better last time and has minor claims again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Serinda to win. |

Happy Anniversary Maria & George Lewandowski Handicap 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Bold Response leading the way. THEOLOGY (6) resumes from a short break having shown good ability in two runs to date. He won narrowly on debut here over 1300m, sent into a much tougher 3yo race at Flemington when last seen, not disgraced in a distant fourth there. 1200m might be on the sharp side but he profiles well against exposed opposition. BOLD RESPONSE (7) doesn't win out of turn but has good early speed and will give you a run for your money up front, especially if the track is favouring those on speed. ABSOLUTE POWER (4) resumed at big odds with a narrow win at Caulfield Heath, getting over the top late. Have to respect again now. FREAK OF NATURE (3) is struggling to win but going okay and maps for an ideal run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Theology to win. |
