LEXUS OF WODONGA COUNTRY MAGIC CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1500m
Genuine tempo with King Czar and Light Foot leading the way. BONNIE MURRINGO (5) did a terrific job in the Country Championships Qualifier at Wagga, beaten just 1.2L after jumping from the car park draw. Rises in weight but draws far kinder this time and gets the key switch to Boudvillain with the blinkers go on fourth-up. The one to beat. SWEET TREATS (9) was brave in front at Warwick Farm last start when finishing fourth. Strips fitter third-up, draws to advantage and will give supporters a strong sight. DOC MARCH (7) is a model of consistency for the Colvin yard and drops back to a winning trip off a 42-day freshen. Maps to blend in beautifully and must be taken seriously. WARPAINTED (8) was an eye-catcher in the Wagga qualifier and if they roll along up front, he’ll be steaming late. LIGHT FOOT (6) also comes through the qualifier and deserves safekeeping. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonnie Murringo to win. |

ADRIAN LEDGER MEMORIAL SHOWCASE - BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 2400m
Testing The Cugat is likely to take charge and set a decent tempo. UNTETHERED (4) made light work of his rivals at Ararat and has kept the engine warm with a trial since. He’s got the tactical speed to offset the wide alley and can keep the momentum rolling. KING EDWARD (8) has hit a purple patch, stringing together two strong wins and shaping like a horse who’ll relish the anticipated tempo. Expect him to be charging late. PALACE GREEN (2) was a sharp winner fresh at Naracoorte then left himself with too much to do at Cranbourne. He strips fitter third-up and if Heywood can make full use of the low draw, he’s a genuine threat. THINK I DO (7) continued her good form when closing strongly into the placings at Kembla Grange last time. Backs up quickly and will run the trip. Have to include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Untethered. |

ALLURE LASH & BEAUTY BAR SHOWCASE CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1000m
Keen tempo with Sizzleist and Justenuffsplash prominent. RIDE THE RIVER (2) controlled things well at Kembla in testing conditions and held them off, and he strips fitter third up so can keep the roll going. TALLINGAS IMMORTAL (3) comes through a hot BM62 where she dug in to score and has been kept fresh with 32 days between runs. Gets her chance to bring up the hat-trick. HELLO ROMEO (1) has not struck this prep but has been tackling stronger races and should give himself every chance again on speed in a suitable assignment. SIZZLEIST (6) carries a fitness edge and backs up quickly off her Wagga placing. Stays in the mix. BRIDIE'S LUCK (5) will appreciate a genuine tempo and under the light weight can be the one charging late if the race sets up for a swooper. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Ride The River. |

MEREDITH ROOFING SUPER MAIDEN SHOWCASE PLATE 1175m
Genuine tempo with Triumvirate leading the way. BORJNORD (2) showed plenty of grit on debut at Newcastle when beaten a whisker after being trapped wide the entire trip. With natural improvement and a better draw he will take plenty of stitching. TRIUMVIRATE (17) resumes for the Hayes yard after failing to fire on debut at Canterbury when well supported but he had excuses. Looks to have returned in great order after three strong jump outs, so a bold showing is expected. JASIRA (10) returns for the Cavanoughs, readied with two trials. Went close to breaking through in both runs in last campaign and looks to have taken the steps forward during the break. Blinkers go on first time. Will pay to monitor. MAKE MINE MOET (11) also resumes and looks best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Borjnord to win. |

CARLTON DRAUGHT SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1175m
Slick pace with Kool Kat finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. BLUE MONDAY (10) resumes after a strong debut prep where she went down narrowly first up then stylishly broke through in December. With a Kembla Grange trial under her belt she can return with a bang. SARGEANT STAN (4) showed a sharp turn of foot here last start when arriving in time to score and although he draws wide he deserves respect. MARTY MCFLY (3) also cops a horror draw but his Ararat win was full of merit and if the tempo is genuine he will get his chance to work into the finish. FOURTHTIMELUCKY (6) is building nicely this campaign and gets in well with the 3kg claim, making him another to keep in mind. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Monday to win. |

TONKIN GROUP ALBURY GUINEAS - BENCHMARK 74 HANDICAP 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Jaegers taking charge. BEYOND QUESTION (1) took a big step forward off his maiden win with a strong placing in the G3 CS Hayes, finishing 2.8L off Sixties who has since won the G2 Phar Lap. With a freshen and a soft draw he is well placed to strike. ETHEREUM GIRL (2) resumes for the Hayes team after being thrown into the deep end in the spring, last seen finishing fifth in the Oaks. With two sharp jump outs she looks ready to return with impact. PARTY BOSS (9) continues to build the right way this prep and was sound in the Wagga Qualifier. The fitness edge always counts for something. SPREAD THE LOVE (10) is still learning but should improve again off his Wagga win, while JAEGERS (4) maps to give supporters a sight on speed. SUGGESTED PLAY: Beyond Question to win. |

COMMERCIAL CLUB ALBURY***BIG DANCE ELIGIBILITY*** ALBURY GOLD CUP [LISTED RACE] 2000m
Tempo strong with Bear On The Loose and Nellie Leylax pushing forward. BEAR ON THE LOOSE (5) hasn't won for a long time but will prove a handful to run down when he rolls forward and under the light weight. TOURISTIC (4) finally put it all together in the Canberra Cup when surging late to score and with a much kinder draw and confidence high he is a major threat, especially if the rain arrives. PLYMOUTH (2) has been sound in two runs back against stronger company. Gets in well at the weights and should be nearing a peak, making him very competitive. NELLIE LEYLAX (3) got things back on track third-up with a solid fourth behind Touristic in the Cup. Meets the winner better at the weights and strips fitter again, so expect him to be in this for a long way. CASINO SEVENTEEN (1) is building and on his best figures is worth keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bear On The Loose to lead all the way. |

NAUGHTIN DEVELOPMENT GROUP SHOWCASE FLAT KNACKER 900m
Hot pace certain with Rumours Abound, Condor and One Hard Lady keen to take up the running. ONE HARD LADY (8) returns as one of the key pace influences and is a consistent mare who is still improving. Has been sharpened with a strong trial and is well placed to fire fresh. RUMOURS ABOUND (6) is a very quick mare on her day. Smashed them second-up at Wangaratta then had excuses in town. With a month between runs and a drop in trip she will look to run them along in front. IRON WILL (5) tired late at Gosford after leading but with plenty of speed engaged they may ride him a shade quieter third-up. TICKLEBELLY (2) resumes after producing some strong efforts last campaign, keeps Boudvillain and is right in the conversation if she returns in similar order. SUGGESTED PLAY: One Hard Lady to win. |
