WITTENS IRRIGATION & DESIGN HANDICAP 1400m
Tactical given the lack of speed. HOYA DESTROYER (1) flew home from the back of the pack fresh over 1200m, being just 1.4L off the winner as the race favourite. The form out of that race has worked out well and this shapes as a suitable event on the back of that effort. Ticks plenty of boxes here and looks the one to beat. NICKELPLAY (5) stuck on well first-up at Bunbury over this distance, beaten 2.8L. Chris Parnham hops in the saddle now and she should get every chance off the inside draw. Hasn't won for a while but the fresh run suggested she's right on the cusp. COME ON EMMA (4) is racing well without winning this time in, sitting on the speed and ending up 1.6L off the winner last time out. Riordan remains in the saddle and she should be prominent from the draw. Can be in this for a long way. EXTREME LOVE (2) will be fitter for a trial coming into this and she can be thereabouts on resumption. ZORBRIST (3) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hoya Destroyer can get the job done. |

DRUMMOND GOLF HANDICAP 1400m
So Much Serenity to take charge ahead of Media Club at a strong tempo. SO MUCH SERENITY (5) was very impressive fresh before going to a new level last start in an Open 3YO race at Bunbury last time out. Out to 1400m now shouldn't be an issue third-up and Pike hops on board now. Can roll forward and make every post a winner. PEACEFUL RULER (1) got the job done last time out when running on from the back of the pack at Pinjarra. He jumped favourite there and he maps to sit much closer this time around from a good draw. Wouldn't surprise to see him continue on his winning ways. SWIFT TALKER (4) had nothing go right for him first-up when favourite. Can bounce back in a big way today. MEDIA CLUB (6) was sound fresh and can build on that performance. SUGGESTED PLAY: So Much Serenity return to the winner's list. |

MC POLYTRACK MAIDEN 1000m
Anticipating good pressure with many of these lining up for the first time. DIVINE MIRAGE (4) led them up at Bunbury on debut and ended up 1L off the winner. She pulled up with some heat stress there and the drop to 1000m today looks a big tick. Can be on the speed again from a good draw and she looks poised to strike in this easier event. AFIREOFGIDGEECOALS (1) pulled up with a slight issue following his disappointing debut performance over this track and trip. Fiore rides today and the better draw today is a big tick for his chances. Blinkers come off now and a much better performance is on the cards. MR KAPLAN (8) gets Pike in the saddle here, sticking with her after partnering her at the trials coming into this. She was impressive from the back in her latest outing and she can make a statement on debut. FLYING SWAGMAN (2) was impressive in his latest trial under Carbery and he's not to be discounted. FLAMINIUS (5) has shown enough at the trials to suggest she can run a good race on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Divine Mirage. |

G&A LOMBARDI PTY LTD MAIDEN 1500m
Genuine tempo from Luna Ballet leading Queen Selyse. NEWHAVEN PRINCE (4) sat closer last time out at Pinjarra and was there for a long way, only caught late when beaten 0.4L. Blinkers go on for the first time today and he does have enough tactical speed to roll across if they wish. Building nicely and can go one better this time around. QUEEN SELYSE (9) is still a maiden after 11 starts but has been knocking on the door lately. She wasn't beaten far out to the mile last start and again two back when beaten over 1400m at Pinjarra. Likely to be close to the speed and the claim of Nottle is a big tick. Can get the job done this time. LUNA BALLET (6) is better than she showed last time when tiring from the front over 1400m at Bunbury. She's better than what she showed there and now O'Donnell hops on board. Can bounce back to her best. INVASORE (2) just missed last start and looks suited by the rise in trip. Watch for him late in the race. BAMBUN GIRL (8) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Newhaven Prince gets the nod. |

STATEWIDE OIL HANDICAP 1200m
They look to roll along early with Tycoon Dreamer and Mr Kissinger leading the charge. TYCOON DREAMER (5) gets the blinkers on this time after a 2.8L defeat at Belmont a fortnight ago. Chris Parnham remains in the saddle and she's open to plenty of improvement third-up. Fresh run suggested she was ready to go to the next level this time around and this presents as the one to beat. EARL IT IS (1) was a touch disappointing over the 1000m journey at Belmont most recently and rises up to 1200m once again today. He's 0/3 at this trip, but this shapes as a suitable assignment with O'Donnell replacing the apprentice hoop. Can swoop late to return to winning ways. MR KISSINGER (2) pulled up with a slight issue when racing in much stronger company last time out. Back to an easier race here and Pike hops back on board having guided him to victory previously. Maps beautifully and can get the job done this time. MELODY FAIR (6) showed enough on debut to suggest she can be in the finish. ROSENTREA (3) will take plenty of catching from the front. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Tycoon Dreamer. |

SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1000m
Niccimota to take charge ahead of So Immaculate at a good tempo. NEW TARGET (4) has been superb this time in, bolting in last start in stronger company at Belmont a fortnight ago. This shapes beautifully once again from a good draw and she continues to raise the bar. Back to a CL3 here and she can continue to work through the grades. NICCIMOTA (1) is better than she showed last time out and can bounce back to her best. SO IMMACULATE (6) will find this a little easier than he last start and won't be far away. SCENIC GEORGE (2) disappointed in his return, though that was in a tougher assignment. Easier here and it wouldn't surprise to see him improve under this scenario. SUGGESTED PLAY: New target can continue her winning run. |

UNITE RESOURCING HANDICAP 1600m
Aitch Montana to take charge ahead of Highly Spoken at a solid tempo. Tricky race to end the day. MYZOOM (8) disappointed last start at Belmont when on the quick turnaround, dropping out to be 6.5L off the winner. Her performance two back was much better and the better draw on hand today is a big help. Can bounce back in a big way. MISS VEUVE (3) is on the quick back-up here, finishing 5.5L off the winner after getting back and not featuring at Pinjarra. Catarino's 3kg claim comes in handy and she should be able to sit much closer this time around. Can return to her best form here which would see her in the finish. TASSORT WE WANT (5) gets the visors on today and gets the chance to sit a little bit closer this time around. He's much better than he showed last start behind a smart one and he can put his best foot forward. HIGHLY SPOKEN (4) tired from the front last start in the same race as Tassort We Want. Not out of this from the inside draw. UNIVERSAL IMPACT (7) can bounce back with the drop in trip today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Myzoom gets the nod. |
