ASTER HANDICAP 1650m
STERLING WONGCHOY (4) hasn't been to this track and trip for a while but his last run was superb back in December. Her latest effort over 1200m off a freshen was superb and sets her up nicely for this. Maps perfectly and can return to winning ways today. TELECOM POWER (3) is knocking on the door of another win, missing by 1.5L at this track and trip last time out. Chung was on board for his latest trial and he remains in the saddle today. Ticks enough boxes despite the wide draw and can go one better this time around. DRAGON SUNRISE (10) gets the blinkers on first time today and comes back from the 1800m journey. Purton hops on board for the first time today in a good push for his chances and if he can navigate the outside alley, she'll be right in the finish. WAH MAY WAI WAI (8) hasn't won for a while but his latest effort was strong and his recent trials have been super. Can feature. |

AZALEA HANDICAP 1650m
MIGHTY STEED (1) gets Purton in the saddle today as he drops back in class today. his form over this track and trip in C3 company prior stacks right up in this field and that form will see him very hard to hold out here. This doesn't look the strongest C4 and he can return to winning ways. INNO SUPER (7) got the job done by 0.3L at this track and trip last time out as the race favourite and has had a quiet trial since then. Needs a touch of luck from the barrier but if the breaks come, there's no reason why he can't repeat the dose. FANTASTIC FUN (4) has been getting well back in recent runs in tougher company and comes back to C4 today. Hugh Bowman takes the ride now and e's won 2/4 when partnering the gelding. Drawn perfectly back in grade today and he can make an impression. THE LION KING (9) is better than he showed last time and can bounce back. |

BELLFLOWER HANDICAP 1000m
BEAUTY THUNDER (3) has just missed his past couple, beaten 0.5L at this track and trip most recently for Purton. Drawn slightly better this time around which should help and he does have plenty of early speed. Rates highly on his past couple of efforts and can go one better this time. PARENTS' LOVE (1) drops back in grade today after finishing 3.3L defeat most recently at Sha Tin. The form out of that race has been super however and he's since bolted in at the trials. Can find the front from his draw and he'll take plenty of catching. SAVVY TWINKLE (12) won well two back before a 2L defeat over this course and distance most recently. He's since trialled well at Conghua and the inside draw should see him get every chance. Can make his presence felt. HEROIC MASTER (10) can sit much closer this time around from a much better draw and he can play a leading role. |

SHAMROCK HANDICAP 1200m
VERY GRATEFUL (1) finished off strongly from the back of the pack last time out to be 1.5L off the winner. He'll end up back in the run once again but the way he closed off last time out was very impressive. Chau remains with him and another forward showing is on the cards. LEGEND STAR (9) ran over the top to score last time out in easy fashion, winning by 1.3L when mowing down his rivals from the back. This shapes similarly with Chung in the saddle. Likely to be back in the run once more but he can storm home to repeat the dose. WORLD HERO (12) is some niggle at this track, though his latest performances suggest he's knocking on the door of another win. He flew home last time out and if he runs up to that performance, he'll be right in the finish. FORTUNE SUPERNOVA (8) is better than he showed last time out and can feature. |

THE IRELAND TROPHY (HANDICAP) 1200m
RAINBOW SEVEN (5) finished off impressively from midfield to get the job done by 1L as the race favourite. Purton hops in the saddle today for the first time and he maps beautifully from a good draw. Rates highly on the recent form and he can continue his winning run. JOLLY COMPANION (4) disappointed last time out when beaten 4.3L at this track and trip after a good run of form prior to that. He'll need some luck from out wide, but Ho remains in the saddle and he can return to winning ways. HOLMES A COURT (9) turned in a better performance last time out when 2.3L off the winner at this track and trip. This looks a similar assignment and Bowman remains in the saddle. He drops 1kg here and will take some catching from the front. DIAMOND SPARKLE (3) creates some interest coming here on debut after showing some ability in his latest heat. |

DAHLIA HANDICAP 1800m
RELIABLE DAD (6) has been finishing off strongly from the back of the pack in recent efforts and has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial. Orman sticks from that trial and he comes to this track and trip for the first time. Wouldn't surprise to see him sit closer this time around and he can pick up his maiden win. AMAZING GAZE (4) flew home over this trip at Sha Tin last time out, finishing 1.3L off the winner. he draws better this time around and jumped favourite here two starts ago. He can roll forward from the draw and he can get the job done this time. ACE WAR (3) was far too good over 2200m at this course last time out and drops back to 1800m today. Purton remains in the saddle with the drop in trip and the rise in weight doesn't look an issue. Can sit handier today and repeat the dose. OCEAN IMPACT (5) is inching closer to a win and returns to his preferred track and trip. |

COLOURFUL KING (1) has gone under as a short-priced favourite his past couple and comes to Happy Valley once again. He's place din both attempts at this track and trip and Purton sticks with him. He'll get back from the draw but he rates highly on his recent efforts and looks the one to beat. BRAVE STAR (4) missed by 1.3L two back before a 2L defeat most recently under Ho. Drawing away from the outside is a big tick for him and he rates highly on his latest run. Can return to winning ways. ROMANTIC SON (7) is in winning form and was very impressive at the trials recently. He's right down in the weights again today and the inside draw is a big tick. Hits this in form and he can bring up the hat-trick. GUSTOSISIMO (9) comes back to this track and trip today where he's a two-time winner. Not out of this. |

AURIO (7) is racing in good order, finishing 1.8L off the winner at Sha Tin most recently. Purton remains in the saddle today and he drops 1kg today. Maps for a beautiful run in transit and this shapes favourably for him. Can get back to winning ways. FLYING WROTE (9) got the job done two back before a 0.3L last time out when a $3.50 chance. The wide draw this time around is a niggle, but he does possess some early speed. Can go one better. STORMING DRAGON (11) flew home from the back last start as the $2.90 favourite and that form has already been franked. Likely to get back from the draw again today but he rates highly on that recent effort and he can put his best foot forward. SOVEREIGN FUND (4) is better than he showed last time out and can return to form with Bowman hopping in the saddle. |

SNAPDRAGON HANDICAP 1650m
STORMI (9) made it a hat-trick last time out, leading and winning by 0.8L in a strong performance at the top of C4. He rises in grade today, but he drops 5.5kg and should be able to find the front again. He continues to raise the bar and with no weight on his back, he'll be very hard to gun down. MAX QUE (1) is hard to knock on recent form, just missing here in a photo finish last time out. That form has worked out well and he's been back to the trials since where he moved nicely. Purton remains in the saddle and he can continue his strong run of form. DO YOUR PART (3) is another who continues to race well, finishing 1.8L away after sitting on the speed throughout over 1400m last time out. He rises to 1650m for the first time today, but he maps to get every chance under Ferraris and he can make his presence felt. WITHALLMYFAITH (11) won't be far away with the inside draw a big tick for him. |
