Sportsbet BlackBook Handicap 1500m
The pace looks even at best given a lack of early speed. LOUD CHARLIE (2) was outclassed in G3 company two back, atoning with a solid win here last time out in a 0-66. Zahra sticks, he can take up a forward spot without much pressure and go on with it after the horse to beat came out. ENGINE OF WAR (1) resumes having shown staying promise in his maiden campaign, ending up running in a G1 Victoria Derby behind Observer. How forward he is will be the question, watch the market closely. SIRIUSLY HOT (3) resumes. The first up win last time in reads well, expect the yard to have put the work in to kick him off at 1500m. LIGHT MOVES (4) is a lightly raced colt who can give a sight up on speed. SUGGESTED PLAY: Loud Charlie on top. |

The Big Screen Company Handicap 1500m
Delivering and Grand Omaha to take up the running at a strong tempo. GRAND OMAHA (8) resumed with an encouraging run at Pakenham in a Class 1, showing speed to lead there over 1400m and sticking on well for third, beaten a long neck. She'll strip much fitter for that and has the upside to be accounting for these. ALL BUSINESS (5) can mix her form a bit but will find this easier than her past couple behind some handy mares. She'll give them a start but is good enough to finish over the top. VIANARRA (7) is going well, just finding a handy one in Loud Charlie (entered in R1) too strong here last time. He maps for every chance and has claims. CROWN CRUSHER (6) doesn't win out of turn but has gone okay his past couple and can be running on late. ROCK THEM JOOLS (3) was poor last time at Pakenham but can bounce back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Grand Omaha to win. |

Stow Storage Solutions Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo anticipated with Big Star and Keep It Real pressing forward with Immerse not far away. OLIVEANOTHERDAY (1) couldn't have been much more impressive winning first up at Ballarat, backed into $1.95 favourite and bolting in by five lengths over the handy Foxenberg. He's always promised good ability and looks set to go right on with it this time in, the one to beat again. BRICKENDON (3) resumes for his second campaign having gone to the paddock a smart winner at Seymour. Zahra booked first up is a good sign, expect him to measure up. HOTSPUR REALE (5) is racing in fine form this time in, just finding one better in a good race at Cranbourne last time. He maps for every chance and has claims. IMMERSE (6) boasts some good form lines last time in, respecting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oliveanotherday to win. |

Sportsbet Up & Coming Stars Series Heat 4 1200m
Moderate tempo with Gottaluvsport leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. The upside of SANTANA (9) appeals. He's a lightly raced gelding who just found one better first up here, working home well behind the handy Melian to grab second. Fancy he'll get further than 1200m in time but he'll be fitter and take a power of holding out. TEN WARRIORS (5) just cannot find the post first, again placing last time at Sandown Hillside, his 10th minor placing in 14 starts. He'd be just about a sure thing in a country maiden but has winning claims again here. LADY LONSDALE (12) didn't quite fire in two runs last time in but has ability and can do better this time around. DAMA ROYALE (11) has placed in all four runs to date and should be right there again, wary of NAR NAR GOON (2) into his second campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Santana to win. |

Tile Importer Handicap 1800m
Not much early speed of note and Georgie Get Mad and Sotomayor may find themselves setting a steady tempo. CURSE IT (1) is in flying form and looks hard to beat again. He's won two on the bounce, both over 1600m, charging home to get up by a head at Cranbourne last time out. Drawn wide here and is up in the weights but he's still got more to offer and can prove too strong once more. ALL SO CLEAR (3) is knocking on the door, running sharp splits to get into second at Cranbourne over 2025m last time out. Back in trip slightly here is fine, Zahra on is a huge positive and he'll be hard to hold out. BAYOU MUSIC (10) was okay last time at Pakenham when back to 1600m, the run two back at Caulfield over this trip reads well for this. HALLOWED HALLS (11) is racing well in his first campaign, finding a slowly run race at Sandown Hillside last time. Out to 1800m will suit. GEORGIE GET MAD (4) will find this easier and can bounce back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Curse It to win. |

Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap 1200m
Mr Blunt and Statice should set a strong tempo. Good race, and it'll be interesting to see the resuming MR BLUNT (4) who is unbeaten in two starts, both at Ballarat Synthetic. Backed into $1.24 on debut, he promptly scored by 9 lengths, then far too good again at $1.10 next time in a BM64, winning by 4 lengths. Onto turf here is an unknown but he's otherwise impossible to knock. BOHEMIAN ANGEL (12) broke through for a smart win last time at Pakenham in a strong 0-62. She stays on 56.5kg and draws for a nice trailing run. ETERNAL (11) was well backed fresh here and was okay in a bunched finish. Expect she improves off that having shown good ability last time in. SPARKLING LUCK (10) broke his maiden nicely last time and can go on with it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mr Blunt to win. |

Quayclean Handicap 1000m
Genuine tempo from Croatian Art leading Normandy Lass. Leaning to MRS IGLESIA (12) who presents third up. She tried hard last start at Cranbourne over 955m behind Gentle Steel, who has since won in good company on Saturday. She should be peaking now and is good enough to take this out. JENNYANYDOTS (2) wasn't far away here last start in a competitive race having placed first up. Back to 1000m suits and she'll be flashing late. TIZ WORTHY (7) dashed best in a slowly run race at Pakenham last time to score as favourite. She'll drift back but can certainly win again if the race shape works out. DON'T RUSSIA (8) is racing consistently and has each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mrs Iglesia to win. |

Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap 1000m
Keen battle for the lead with Excess, Regeneration and Martial Music in advance of Viasain and Along The River. Handy little sprint and the resuming REGENERATION (9) might just be too good for them. He's a progressive 3yo gelding who was last seen running a good race for third in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes at Caulfield. He's won a trial leading in and Lane goes aboard. Tipping he measures up. ALONG THE RIVER (3) finally drops back to 1000m after four runs at 1100m. He's looked the winner in a couple of those and just run out of legs late. Back in trip suits. EXCESS (2) is another not unsuited back to 1000m, she'll be up on speed and hard to run down. MARTIAL MUSIC (1) was far too good at Echuca last start. He's proven up to this level in the past and will take beating again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Regeneration & Along The River. |
