FU TAI HANDICAP 1400m
MAJESTIC DELIGHT (7) turned in a rather plain effort last time out over 1200m but he got way too far back in the run. His prior efforts were much better and he can sit closer today out in trip and from a softer draw. DBM rides now and he can shed the maiden tag. THE CONCENTRATION (8) was too good last start at this track and trip when running on from the second half of the field. He's had a quiet trial since that effort to keep him up to the mark and he can continue his strong run of form. GALE SAGA (1) flew home to just miss at this track and trip last time out and may be able to take closer order this time around. Teetan sticks and another forward showing is expected. SPEEDY TRIDENT (2) is back in grade today and looks a big improver. |

LUNG YAT HANDICAP 1200m
MR COOL (3) gets the winkers back on today after finishing strongly from back in the pack here 18 days ago. Purton remains in the saddle here and a better draw could see him sit closer in the run. Plenty to like off his past couple of efforts and he can get the job done this time. YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (9) has only had one run over this course and distance where he was a little disappointing. He hasn't been far away in recent efforts though and should land in a good position for Kingscote. Can be in the finish. HERBAL STAR (1) was best of the rest behind a dominant winner last time out and can be closing strongly once again. GLACIATED (8) disappointed last start but is better than that and remains under notice. |

ON TING HANDICAP 1400m
LUCKY RANGER (5) was very strong late on debut when the race favourite after trialling well leading in. He was 1.8L off the winner there and he's turned in a nice trial since. The wide draw is a niggle, but he will benefit from the debut experience and he can land the knockout blow this time. ABSOLUTE HONOUR (10) is inching towards a drought breaking win, missing by 0.3L last time out at this track and trip. He's now 585 days between drinks, but this sets up perfectly for him and he can go one better today. TOP TIME (1) was just fair last start at this track and trip and didn't really make any ground late in the race. Likely to get back here but he rates highly on his best form and he's not to be discounted. AEROVOLANIC (3) is better than we saw last time out and can get back to his best. |

SPEEDY SMARTIE (3) couldn't have been more impressive last start when leading at this track and trip and putting his rivals to the sword. He'll need some luck from out wide, but the last start stands out as he ran his opponents into the ground. Can repeat the dose. ONE MAN SHOW (1) missed in a photo finish over this track and trip 35 days ago under similar circumstances. He's trialled well since that effort again and he rates highly on that most recent effort here. Can lob close to the speed and go one better this time. NOTTHESILLYONE (7) disappointed here most recently and has been back to the trials since where he moved well. His form prior to that was very strong and he's likely to be close to the speed. Can bounce back to his best. JUICY DRAGON (12) is better than he showed last time out behind Speedy Smartie and can improve with no weight on his back. |

STRATHPEFFER (4) was good off a freshen last start at this track and trip when only gunned down late after setting the tempo throughout. Expecting him to press on from a wide draw once again. The form out of his last start has stood up and he can go one better now. ALL ROUND WINNER (5) went back to the trials and won well up at Conghua after a 3.5L defeat 25 days ago. Back in trip and returns to Sha Tin today with the blinkers on for the first time. Expecting a forward showing. WIN SPEED (14) sat on the speed and only just missed here 21 days ago when beaten 0.8L. He draws to be close to the speed again today and he carries no weight. Will take catching once again. STAR FIGURE (11) gets the blinkers on for the first time today and he can return to form. |

THE YAN OI TONG CUP (HANDICAP) 1200m
CONRAD PATCH (2) sat handy on debut but couldn't land the knockout blow, finishing 1.8L off the winner at this track and trip. He'll be better for that effort however and is expected to have come on from the debut performance. Has stacks of upside and can get the job done this time. VOYAGE BOSS (1) comes back to this track and trip where he has won previously. His recent trial at Conghua was sound and his last start at Happy Valley rates highly. Needs some luck from out wide but has the class to knock this over. MALPENSA (4) got a long way back last start but hit the line nicely. His recent trial was solid and he sat close to the speed in that hit out. Looks to be improving every time he steps out and he can take the next step now. PERIDOT (10) wasn't far away last start and has to be included on the back of that effort. |

LOYAL BRIGHT (2) was far too good from the front over this course and distance last time out, winning by 2L and making every post a winner. He's trialled strongly since and the draw doesn't hurt his chances. Can continue his rapid rise through the ranks. CHILL BUDDY (8) was only gunned down on the post when beaten in a photo finish after leading from a wide draw. Suspect similar tactics will be adopted from out wide and if he can run up to that effort, he'll be hard to reel in. PEGAS (7) got the job done last start and this looks to set up very nicely for him once again. Guyon sticks and while he rises in weight, he looks progressive enough. Can go on with the job. LIFELINE EXPRESS (6) wasn't far behind Pegas last time out and has to be included with that formline. |

THE CENTENARY VASE (HANDICAP) 1800m
The feature of the day here and NUMBERS (7) creates plenty of interest. He's been impressive in his two HK starts after being runner-up in the QLD Derby. His latest trial was very strong and he has a great profile for a race like this. Can put himself at the pointy end of the HK Derby market. ENCOUNTERED (4) disappointed two back but bounced back to form last start in the January Cup. Getting back to Sha Tin should suit him much better and that form has worked out well. Draw is sticky but he's good enough. BEAUTY JOY (2) will find this easier than what he's been racing in and he usually puts his best foot forward in these sort of events. Bowman riding is a positive sign and if he get some luck off the inside then he'll go close. SPEED DRAGON (5) won the January Cup last start and has to be included on the back of that effort. |

VICTORY SKY (3) impressed two back and repeated the dose last time out when sitting on the speed to score by 2L. Purton remains in the saddle and while the draw is sticky, he came from off the speed to win two back. Can continue his winning ways in this suitable event. MAGNIFIQUE (2) has won his last two on the turf course and now comes onto the All Weather surface for the first time. He has trialled well on this surface previously and he has the early speed to roll across from out wide. Can continue his winning run without surprising. BLAZING WIND (4) got the job done last time out as the race fav after getting every chance in the run. He drops in weight today with the claim of Wong and he can continue his strong run of recent form. GUMMY GUMMY (6) wasn't beaten far last start in a good return to form and this sets up nicely for him once again. |

JUNEAU PRIDE (1) missed in a photo finish last time out at this track and trip in a tight finish. That continued his return to form and this looks a beautiful set up for him today. Knocking on the door of another win and can get the job done this time around. EMBLAZON (4) looks a very progressive type and got the job done in narrow fashion over this track and trip last time, edging out Juneau Pride. The inside draw suits him and he continues to raise the bar. No reason why he can't bring up the hat-trick. ONE MORE (9) comes through the same race Emblazon won and drops in weight on the back of that effort. Has the speed to roll across and lead and he was building toward a win before last start. Not out of this. LUCKY TWIN STARS (8) flew home to score last time out and has to be included. |

Nothing went right for DAZZLING FIT (4) last time out but he did close off well from the back as the race favourite. Out to 1800m for the first time today looks a good move however and Purton hops in the irons. Can sit closer with a cleaner getaway this time and he can bounce back to winning ways. SMART AVENUE (9) has been impressive his past few and drops in weight today despite finishing 0.3L off the winner last time out. Likely to get back from the gate but that is his natural racing pattern. Watch for him coming home with a wet sail. STUNNING PEACH (1) flew home to just miss last time out at this track and trip and Bowman remains in the saddle. Can go one better with an opportunity to sit closer. FORTUNE BOY (8) missed in a blanket go last time out and back out in trip should suit better. |
