NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:20 Halcol Energy Solar & Batteries QTIS Two-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1200m
Anticipating good pressure with many of these at the races for the first time.  The three that have raced were all beaten by huge margins on debut so it looks a race for the first starters. NATION (2) is a Pierata colt from the Sears stable. Trialled twice leading into this and filled a placing both times. Looks to have enough ability to take care of these. WINGMASTER (3) comes here off a close fourth in a trial at the Gold Coast on 27 January. Draws a nice gate which always helps. Stuart Kendrick's gelding DOUBTWILLY (1) trialled here on Tuesday and finished third. Looks wound up for a bright start to his career. PRETTY SMASHING (4) is a Brave Smash filly who has trialled twice, a placing at Beaudesert on 12 January the pick of them. Betting the key indicator. CANYA ZIPIT (5) heads a mediocre trio of runners who have been to the races before.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Nation to win the opener.
2 01:00 Custom Building Approvals BM68 Handicap 1800m
Expecting Sir Goldalot to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. ARCHER'S GAME (1) raced handy but failed to run out a strong 2200m here last start. The best form reference is her previous outing when third in a BM78 over this course and distance. Nicely graded today and Thorburn's claim brings her in well. MEDICAL AUTOCRAT (3) has been kept fresh since recording an overdue win over 1890m at Toowoomba five weeks ago. Up in class but carries 3kgs less than last time. Has won here at this trip and looms as a serious contender again. RING BEARER (2) made it three minor placings in a row when he chased hard but found one better over 2190m at Ipswich recently. Has a decent record here at 1800m and on current form looks one of the better chances. CHEERS (7) is working his way into peak form, the latest offering a game third over 1990m at Ipswich. Makes plenty of appeal with the light weight. ENTERPRISE LASSIE (5) is a chance based on a 0.8 length second here at this trip in a BM70 two runs ago.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Archer's Game on top in a tricky little race.
3 01:45 Coastal Vehicle Solutions Handicap 1000m
Anticipating a genuine tempo over the 1000m journey.  HOLY RACKET (2) has struggled a bit in better class races since bolting in over this trip at Eagle Farm three back in a BM78. Gun 1000m sprinter who can bounce back today with the blinkers going on for the first time. The danger is KING YOSHI (4) who opened this campaign two back with a fifth win over five-furlongs at this circuit. Led but was bloused late at Eagle Farm Saturday company last time. Back in his comfort zone today off a six-week freshen-up. FLAMING CONQUEST (5) showed plenty of dash then held on well for third when resuming over 800m at Ipswich recently. Better placed out to this trip and although up in class drops a massive 7kgs. Good second-up performer who is not out of contention. ECONOMICS (3) resumes. Has not lived up to early expectations but if he is going to fire these days it will be first-up, particularly with the help of the inside gate. GOLDSBOROUGH (1) is a strong fresh performer back from a four-month spell. Loves it here so keep him in mind.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Really good race - leaning to Holy Racket.
4 02:25 Chaps Menswear Class 1 Plate 1000m
Dismantle and Casino Bay will likely pair off in front. CASINO BAY (9) is a promising filly who returned from a ten-month spell last start with a gutsy second over 1110m at Doomben. Progressed nicely from the first to second run in the maiden prep so she should kick on with that last run under the belt. Looks the one with the aid of the inside stall. DISMANTLE (4) last appeared when he edged out the smart Ser Joh over this distance at Eagle Farm way back in November 2024. Trialled well recently and this lightly raced mare is still in the Gollan yard which is a vote of confidence. EMILIA JANE (5) has transferred from Joe Pride to Alisha Taylor and is back from a 15-week lay-off. Will be better for this run but she is as talented as most of these. MR PLAYTIME (1) rounds out the quartet in the small field.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Casino Bay.
5 03:00 GT Print Australia QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1000m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large representation of unraced runners. Plenty of question marks surround POINT VEGA (5) on debut but she is worth the gamble. Has trialled once, scoring by 7.2 lengths on the inner track here back in July, and has not been produced since. Clearly very smart but the betting on race day will tell the tale. GEITZ (14) was in the money for the fourth time in her career recently, catching the eye in the closing stages of an 1100m Gatton maiden. Very fit after two runs back and has placed two of three at 1000m. Plenty to like about her chances. HELLO PUNTERS (8) last raced seven weeks ago when in the money over 800m at Kilcoy. Will go fast and give backers a sight. TROFEO (6) on debut is worth monitoring closely as the Vandyke yard has a reputation with the newcomers.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Point Vega unless she is rejected by the market.
6 03:40 Coastal Style Constructions Maiden Plate 1200m
They should run this along with Khoirgirl and Britannia Rose taking it up over Just A Sort.  SNITZSTREAM (15) has come back in good order this prep with a couple of close minor placings, the latest over 1000m at Eagle Farm where she attacked the line with purpose. Perfectly placed out to this trip at the third run back - she looks ready to break through. BRITANNIA ROSE (11) showed abundant pace when resuming last time out over this distance at the Gold Coast but felt the pinch close to home. Improved at each run of the maiden prep so expect her to make progress today with that first run out of the way. KHOIRGIRL (9) made it four minor placings from five career runs when she found a couple better over this distance at Doomben recently. Needs luck from a tricky gate but she is going too well to leave out. EL CENTRO (7) was lining up for only the second time when she charged home late to grab second over 1100m at the Gold Coast last start. Wide draw the only negative. HANSAGLORY (4) didn't do a bad job on debut last time and will appreciate the extra 200m.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Snitzstream to win.
7 04:20 TAB BM68 Handicap 1200m
Stratified, Chilliwack and I Miss Margie all possess good speed. ALLY (8) came with a huge finish to score first-up at Murwillumbah then was a bit flat last start at Doomben over today's trip. Very fit now after two runs back and the engagement of Angela Jones is a tick. In the right race to return to winning ways. Honest mare JOY A PLENTY (10) returned from a short spell with a close second over 1100m at Ipswich last time out. Surprisingly has a mediocre record here on her home track which is a concern, but from gate one she gets a cosy run and should be there at the business end. Track and trip specialist BOLD JULIUS (2) is in the mix despite his big weight, along with NEW HAMPSHIRE (7) who should be right at his peak third up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Ally.
8 04:55 XXXX GOLD Class 5 Handicap 1400m
Strong tempo assured from Mishani Crown and Zingalong leading the charge. LIBERTY STEPS (3) appreciated the drop in grade last start when beaten by the barest margin in a Class 4 over this course and distance. That followed a five-week break so he should come on from the run and looks ready break a win drought. MISHANI CROWN (2) has been airborne this prep. Won three in a row in the 1200-1350m range then led until the shadow of the post in a metro grade BM78 here at this trip last time. Has the gate speed to negate the wide draw and will look the winner again at some stage. AMBASSADORS (8) tackled the same Class 4 as Liberty Steps here recently and after leading was only beaten a long neck by today's rival. In great form this prep and will be there at the finish again. ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE (4) was a nice winner at the Gold Coast last start and should hold his form third up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Liberty Steps to win the last.
