NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:55 Farmers Leap Maiden Plate 1200m
Solid tempo anticipated with First Feeling taking charge. JEWELS CAPTAIN (4) lost a plate in running last time at Gawler when dropping right out. He looked to be building nicely prior and has jumped out well in between runs. Well placed to finally shed the tag. BEL HOTESSE (7) has been knocking on the door for quite some time but just lacks the winning blow. Gets in well with the claim and doesn't need to improve much to get the job done. MARINER MISS (10) strikes a much more suitable assignment as she comes across the border. Draws well and Milnes' booking signals intent. Watch for sharp improvement. DRUMLARGEN (2) exceeded market expectation at Camperdown when missing by a head. Has more to offer third-up and should give another bold sight. LOTS OF TORQUE (9) third-up is also a likely improver. Can find a minor spot.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Jewels Captain to win.
2 01:35 Trans Australian Livestock Maiden Plate 1430m
Caithness to take charge ahead of Green Amber at a good tempo. RANSOM ROYALE (5) came with a bold finish from well back to miss narrowly in a blanket finish on debut. Has been kept fresh for this and is sure to have come on from that. Drawn well and looks a big threat. Stablemate HELLISH LEE (11) was much better last time at Mt Gambier when chasing gamely into fourth. Peak fitness now and doesn't need to improve much to take this out. ROCK'N ON UPTOWN (12) also showed improvement at the latest, not beaten far despite finishing out of the placings. Deserves more respect this time, though will likely get back from her draw. BROTHER QUICKIE (3) failed to make an impact when resuming at Warrnambool but that was a hot maiden. Better for the hitout and is drawn well. Don't dismiss. MILADY (9) returns and has been readied with two jumpouts. Worth keeping in mind.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Ransom Royale.
3 02:10 Midfield Group Class One Plate 2000m
A pedestrian gallop without a recognised on-pacer engaged. SANIKA (5) has gone close in her last two over similar trips and should be peaking now. Draws to get the gun run and will be poised when they quicken. Big threat. CLISTE (9) drove hard to arrive just in time and shed her maiden tag last start. This is tougher but she is capable of another big run and the booking of Milnes signals confidence. HIT THE SLOPES (2) has been mixing his form but boasts peaks that measure up. Likely to drift back from the draw and be saved for the final shot at them. Similarly, YOUBEEFORTY (7) struggles to put two good runs together but is another worth watching for late in the piece.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sanika to win.
4 02:50 PPHS 0 - 54 Handicap 1200m
Off the low draw Hot Off should lead at a genuine tempo. LADY MEMPHIS (9) has been in good form, scoring three back at Port Lincoln then placing twice in a row. Drops slightly in grade and is drawn to get the gun run. She's the one to beat. OCTAVIAN TREASURE (6) has built nicely into this campaign and should be hitting her straps now, though she will likely be coming from a long way off them when turning. BLISSFUL BAY (5) was much better last time when closing strongly into second at Mt Gambier. Has more to offer third-up, though is another that will be doing his best work late from a wide draw. REVOLUTION BELLE (7) improved last start to finish second over 1400m at Penola. Drops back to a favourable trip and gets a key booking in Murtagh. Genuine threat. HOT OFF (2) was better last time at Kingscote and is an each-way hope if he can build off that.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Memphis to win.
5 03:25 Coopers Brewery Benchmark 68 Handicap 1200m
Reasonable tempo with Cork Harbour probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. NARALINGA (6) has left himself with too much to do in his last two but is knocking on the door. Drawn sticky for Crowther, but watch for him bursting through on fresh legs. SANTASTICO (1) dug deep to prevail two back at Penola, then closed hard to just miss the placing last time out. Opperman reuniting reads favourably. Can atone. EL PASO CITIE (3) was shooting to bring up the hat-trick last start at Murray Bridge but found it a bit too tough. Rates well back at this level and can bounce back sharply. LONGTIMEDREAMING (4) sets up nicely for this fourth-up and is some home if Pannell can utilise a good draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Naralinga to win.
6 03:55 TASCO Petroleum Rating 0 - 56 Handicap 1100m
Genuine tempo with Just Wai leading the way. ARTISSI (8) was denied narrowly first-up but went right on with the job last time to score comfortably at Mt Gambier. Has more to offer third-up, though is likely to drift back from the draw. BELLENTIA (10) is yet to strike through this campaign but is knocking on the door. Will appreciate the drop in grade and is drawn favourably. No shock to see her in the finish. DEFICIT (2) was a barnstorming winner two back at long odds but less effective last time. Tough to assess but is worth some thought on his peaks. FROSTY NIGHT (9) continues to finish thereabouts. Has good tactical speed and gets in well with the claim. Have to consider. HASTA LA CHILLY (3) can improve sharply second-up on his home track. Don't dismiss.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Artissi to win.
7 04:35 MiniJumbuk Naracoorte Cup (Heat Limestone Cup Series) 2000m
Strong tempo with Mangione and Lucas The Younger leading the way over Hasta La Fiorente. IMPOSING SUSPECT (9) couldn't get the job done as favourite at Penola in a hot contest but still did a good job to finish third. Gets in well at the weight with the slight rise in grade and doesn't have to improve much to get the verdict this time. EL JAMES (11) was a sharp improver second-up at Geelong and will be further benefited by the rise in trip. Milnes booking adds confidence - have to take seriously. BOLT BY (8) backs up quickly and will appreciate the drop in grade. Best form has him getting involved. LUCAS THE YOUNGER (13) is going better than it appears on paper and should appreciate the drop back in grade.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Imposing Suspect.
8 05:10 Southeast Motor Company Benchmark 58 Handicap 1430m
Expecting a genuine tempo with Miss Gatsby setting the tone from an outside draw, joined by Wichitall. ARTPARK (5) has struck a purple patch of form, putting together two dominant wins on the trot. Not much tougher this time and only rises slightly in weight. Big chance to bring up the hat-trick. BELONGTOJILL (4) got off the mark in fine style last time in town. Backs up quickly and looks to have turned the page. Can go right on with it. AHVEJAY (3) bounced back into the winner's circle with a bit up his sleeve at the latest when public elect. Winning hoop sticks from the good draw. Has to be considered. CRACKERJACK HATCH (7) improved sharply to break her maiden at Geelong. This is tougher but she has more to offer.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Artpark.
