NUM TIME COMMENT
1 02:20 BRAVE SMASH @ YARRAMAN PARK PLATE 1300m
A solid tempo on the cards with Jet leading the way. All but JET represent the Waller yard. SNITZEL MISS (12) rates the best of them. She was narrowly beaten twice at Group level last preparation abd will be better for her two runs this time around. Raced a $2 favourite at Canterbury the latest and Lloyd rides today and will give her every chance from an inside barrier. Waterhouse-Bott-trained JET (3) resumed at Canterbury as a $4 favourite and looked a run short. He'd come off a Randwick trial win and is sure to keep improving. Will jump and run from the inside barrier and will take pegging back. HERMIONE PRANCER (8) resumes and was last seen beaten a whisker at Newcastle on debut. She's trialled sharply for her return and Jason Collett sticks from the latest. Expect her to be right in it. Everything points to improvement from ICHIBAN KOJI (2), who jumps from an inside barrier with a 3kg claim. Last start, he had good support at Randwick-Kensington, and has the blinkers on for the first time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Snitzel Miss appeals most.
2 02:55 IRRESISTIBLE POOLS AND SPAS HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of pace likely from Jamais, Kimberley Secrets and Tequila Baby battling for the lead from Kilkenny. UNLEESHING (7) resumes for Bjorn Baker and owns a Canterbury trial win. She's been away for almost a year but showed a stack of promise in her last preparation and should naturally improve. Maps well and looks ready to go. Nick Olive-trained KIMBERLEY SECRETS (1) had threatened numerous times in town before returning to Canberra beaten a whisker in Open grade over this distance. She led in that and today has Keating's handy 3kg claim. Gives herself every chance and with the race fitness will be hard to beat. TEQUILA BABY (4) deserved her win at Canterbury and then presented here this grade/trip as a $3.6F and didn't finish it off (vet cleared). She's back after 14 days and is worth another chance. KILKENNY (6) has upside and may be the value proposition. Resumed further improved beaten a nose at Canterbury and has been kept on the fresh side. The blinkers are applied for the first time, signalling intent.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Unleeshing has the numbers and should be ready to go.
3 03:30 ALL TOO HARD YEARLINGS HANDICAP 1000m
Expecting a strong tempo over this journey. BREMEL (4) lifted strongly to score over 1100m at Canterbury, making it two in a row and 4/6 overall. Should be camped just off the leaders and will present at peak fitness. Keeps improving and the hat-trick beckons. INDEFENSIBLE (8) has had two runs this preparation and didn't have the best of it behind Swordplay here two weeks ago. She's proven second-up and has plenty up her sleeve. Stays down in the weights and should be hitting the line hard. WONDEREACH (1) hasn't had the best of it at both starts this preparation in tougher races. He's been freshened and kept up to the mark with an easy trial win at Gosford. He's up to this at best, and the handy 3kg claim brings him into it. SHALL BE (2) resumes and didn't fire both runs last preparation is a stronger grade. Showed plenty of promise prior and has a sharp record fresh. His Gosford trials suggest he's back on track, and he has Osmond's 2kg claim.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Bremel.
4 04:05 TAB HANDICAP 2200m
Lack of early pace and expect a moderate tempo at best. PLACID PEARL (9) improved in better company at Randwick and then stepped up to 1900m at Canterbury this grade and was narrowly beaten as a $2.70 favourite. Could have had better luck and fourth up she looks well-placed to win. FORMAT (1) just missed in a 72 at Canterbury and then tackled a stronger contest at Randwick and wasn't beaten far over 2000m. He will push forward and Roper's 2kg claim brings him into it. BLUE EYED BRIGID (12) is an improving filly presenting off a narrow defeat at Hawkesbury where she jumped a short-priced favourite. Has an awkward barrier, but the middle distance looks sure to suit. STING IN THE TAIL (4) drops back from two outings over 2400m in tougher grade and had won a 72 this track/trip prior. Lloyd rides today and she will be finishing hard.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Placid Pearl appeals most.
5 04:40 ASAHI SUPER DRY HANDICAP 1600m
Just a moderate tempo headed by Tip Top Timing, Ivan's Hero and Kingdom Of Logres. The local LUNAR LOVER (3) was spelled 239 days and resumed with a long-neck defeat at Gosford over this trip. He's promising and is sure to improve off that. He will race over longer but looks well placed to take this out. IVAN'S HERO (4) led and spiked his figures winning a 72 at Rosehill and then was caught wide with no cover at Canterbury in similar company. Drops back a couple of levels and is a threat. OTONO (5) had an excuse two back at Hawkesbury but the form each side of that reads well enough. Has a handy 2kg claim in an easier assignment and has claims if the splits come. This is a step-up for DYNAMIC ONE (6), but he ran a good number when winning two back at Gundagai. Comes to town with Berry booked and is worth consideration at a price.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Lunar Lover.
6 05:15 MYPLATES HANDICAP 1400m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Steel Strike. AMREEKIYAH (7) is promising and looked a run short resuming at Kembla Grange over 1200m. Proven second-up and maps for the run of the race. Has plenty in the tank and she's the one they have to beat. STEEL STRIKE (2) is Stakes-placed and he just missed here first-up over 1200m. Led and won his only second-up outing and Clark will skip him across and ride the speed. Strips fitter and is sure to take pegging back. STARMAN (4) also races forward and was quickly back on track beaten less than 2L on the Kensington. Has a handy 3kg claim today and the blinkers are applied for the first time. Solid each-way claims. NOMORENIGHTSHIFT (8) made progress finishing midfield last start at this track and is up in distance, capable of a show.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Amreekiyah to win.
