Mornington Peninsula 3MP Maiden Plate 2025m
Reasonable tempo with Boncapo probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. GOOD LORDY ME (3) just on top. He's knocking on the door with consecutive runner-up finishes, beaten as favourite at Bairnsdale but very good at Pakenham last time when just run down late. Can see him getting all the favours here and clinging on late. BONCAPO (8) is another that will be on up speed. He's coming along well in three runs to date, not far away in any of them. He should be suited to this trip now and can improve. DISTILLERY (2) resumed with a solid run at Wangaratta, no match for the winner but sticking on gamely for second and giving the indication more ground would suit. He can track the main dangers and look to outstay them late. WINTER GRACE (10) is going okay, solid out to this trip last time when third. She'll need to improve but can certainly place again. KIRWANS BRIDGE (5) has been okay in two runs back and is in the minor mix as well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Good Lordy Me on top. |

Big Event Picnic Tables Handicap 3040m
Genuine pace with Karburan taking up the running ahead of Jenni The Tank and Jealous. KARBURAN (1) just gets the nod. He's struggling to break through but the same could be said for most of these, having tried hard at Cranbourne last time out over 2580m when just edged out late. He'll have no issue running out a strong 3040m and his ability to take up the running is a big advantage. JEALOUS (5) is another struggling to win but racing well, on the quick turnaround from Saturday at Pakenham when working home well for third. This suits. NATURAL RULER (2) is lightly raced and should stay well. He was just ahead of Karburan when they met recently which has him firmly in the mix. WHISKY MOON (6) is lightly raced and has to be included. SUGGESTED PLAY: Karburan to win. |

Peninsula Kubota Maiden Plate 1200m
Kings Commission will stride forward but there are few debutants who can keep him busy. VALEDICTORIAN (6) has had a few chances but continues to race well, off a short let up for this. He was beaten just two lengths when last seen at Geelong in a handy maiden and with a bit more time under his belt, and residual fitness on his side, he can get the job done. KINGS COMMISSION (1) resumes. He's a relation to Black Caviar (out of the great mare's first foal, Oscietra) who showed glimpses in two runs last time in. He's off a long break, watch the betting. INSPIRING (5) is an Impending gelding on debut for the Eurell yard who has jumped out well and can win. FUNDAMENTAL NATURE (10) is an Exceedance filly for the Ciaron Maher yard who has also jumped out nicely and has been met with early support, wary. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Valedictorian. |

The Big Screen Company Maiden Plate 1200m
Moderate tempo expected with Toy Queen likely to find the front over Somersault and Koko. SOMERSAULT (10) looks well placed to break through at the fourth time of asking. The debut over 1000m was just fair but her past couple over this trip have been good when narrowly beaten. She should come on from those and had a fitness advantage on key rivals. Drawn well for Dee, she can stalk the speed and prove too strong late. SUPERGRACE (11) resumes. She was last seen running third in town at Sandown Lakeside having hinted at good ability prior. She should be ready to run well. KOKO (3) made nice improvement at her second start last time, beaten half a length over this route. She'll just need a touch of luck early from the wide gate. MISS MARANDA (6) ran well on debut in a good maiden at Pakenham over 1000m and should appreciate the extra furlong here. She draws well for an in-form Luke Currie. TOY QUEEN (12) was sound on debut although this is harder. SUGGESTED PLAY: Somersault to win. |

Brad Masters Plumbing Handicap 1200m
Without an obvious leader, it may be left to White Bear, Octrain and Let'sfacethemusic to control the tempo. Not the strongest race and LET'SFACETHEMUSIC (1) won't get a better chance to return to winning ways. At his best, he'd be taking care of this field however two runs back have been solid without really threatening. Regardless, they've been in better company than this, and he should get every chance now. DARTS DALY (3) resumes. He was racing consistently last time in work, albeit struggling first up at Warrnambool before hitting his straps. 1200m fresh should suit and he can figure. WHITE BEAR (8) was okay first up for the new yard having struggled to recapture his best form for a while. At his best he'd go very well here and he gets in very light after the 4kg claim which suggests he'll be ridden to lead. IMMORTAL STAR (7) struggled here last time off a solid return but has each-way claims. MAGARTEN (2) resumes and may find them a touch sharp but can work home late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Let'sfacethemusic to win. |

ModTech Group Electricians Handicap 1200m
Anticipating a genuine tempo over the 1200m journey. DIAMOND GUST (3) resumes. Two runs last time in were good, placing in both and the form out of them reads well. First up last campaign he ran third to Vivid Sun at Sandown Hillside who was heavily bet in a Listed race next time out. He can be an improver off a short spell here and should take plenty of beating from the good draw. CHICAGO BLUES (1) is racing well, running an honest race in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes at Caulfield last time out. That's not the strongest Group race but it's still good form for this and he should take catching. ESMAHLI (5) has raced twice to date, winning well on debut here over 1000m before a solid effort last time, again at this track and distance. He has plenty of upside and should land in a great spot for Currie. DUBAI ADVENTURE (4) won well on debut here and is open to improvement and is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Diamond Gust to win. |

The Devilbend Golf Course Handicap 1500m
Expecting Lady Potato Head to take up the running with Diamanda and Brung King close at hand. SKETCH (9) looks very well placed in the final event. Going through her form- she started $2.20 (3rd) behind subsequent G1 VRC Oaks winner Strictly Business three back, then broke her maiden nicely at Caulfield Heath over 1600m. She was tested in the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes last time at Caulfield and wasn't beaten far carrying 56kg and now drops to just 52.5kg after the claim in a BM70, albeit against the older horses and males. This looks ideal placement and she rates well. MACEDON ROSE (5) can be forgiven on the wet ground at Pakenham last time which was heavier than advertised. She was a $3 chance there off a good win prior and can bounce back. WELCOMETOTHESHOW (6) continues to race well, finding the line for third at Caulfield Heath last time. Big each-way chance again. BLAZING HARRY (1) is going well behind some handy ones and he's well suited this grade. RUSSIAN FRONT (8) is racing well and a minor hope again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sketch to win. |
