BARRIER REEF POOLS Maiden Plate 860m
The pace looks very strong with plenty of speed engaged. DIAMANTINA ROSE (4) is unlucky to still be a maiden placing in all four career outings to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. Yoshida has been in the irons for all four starts so far and sticks today. Rates the testing material against this lot. HASANA (5) resumes but showed glimpses of ability in her first preparation and has tuned up for this with a recent trial. Looms as the main danger. BOLD LOUIE (1) is facing the starter for the first time but wasn't too far away in a recent trial and any market support must be noted. I'LLTELLYOUAFTER (9) looks to be improving with racing and gets in light with the claim. In the mix. CASUAL MAN (2) will be at peak fitness now and may earn some minor money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Diamantina Rose to break through. |

LADBROKES BIG BETS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 860m
Levar and Mr Encore possess good early speed. MR ENCORE (1) loves it here around this circuit with four wins and a second from just six starts and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Looks the one they all have to run down. BOLD TEE (2) looked good on debut saluting at Ipswich before being too bad to be true at Beaudesert. Has since been given further time to mature and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. BEITSOO (6) has a win and two seconds from six attempts over this track and trip and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Top-three conveyance. LEVAR (3) just ran into one better over this course and distance last time out and has been racing very consistently of late. In the mix. BLERIOT (5) goes well for hoop Robbins who has three wins and three placings from nine steers. Don't underestimate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 1,2,6,3. |

LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI Maiden Plate 1100m
Plenty of pace with Lulu A Natural and Outdoor Cat up front, pressured by Ceekay's Choice and Pfeiffer's Kiss. CEEKAY'S CHOICE (5) has been knocking on the door of a maiden victory placing in five of seven overall and this is not an overly strong affair. Ready to peak now third-up and only needs some luck navigating from the sticky alley to be playing a major role in the outcome. Former SA galloper OUTDOOR CAT (7) just missed the placings when having her first local outing and will have come on with that run now under her belt. Can make her presence felt. WORLDY SPIRIT (10) resumes here but showed enough when last in work to warrant consideration in a race like this. Keep safe while fresh. PFEIFFER'S KISS (12) managed to hit the frame here on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that day at the races. Include in calculations. UPSTART LOVER (8) best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ceekay's Choice to break the maiden status. |

RACING QLD SUPPORTS SAFETY IN RACING BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1600m
Solid tempo anticipated with He's Viral and Battlespace matching motors. The well-related REGGIE'S FOLLY (1) (half to G1 winner Heavens Above) got a well-deserved victory over this course and distance last time out and will have taken a bunch of confidence from that win. Winning rider Hamblin sticks in the stirrups and maps perfectly for this contest from gate two. Rates the testing material. ECHO HUNTER (8) has been thereabouts at the past few efforts and gets some weight relief with the claim. Ready to show her best now. Former Victorian SOMETHING FORJO (11) hasn't been too far away in all four starts since joining the new stable and looks a must for the multiples. DROP THE PILOT (6) is improving with racing this preparation and may earn some minor money. BATTLESPACE (7) next best from the inside alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Reggie's Folly to go back-to-back. |

CONGRATULATIONS TRL PREMIERSHIP WINNERS A GRADE GATTON HAWKS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1400m
Intruder has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. The consistent SUPER QUICK (4) has only missed a drum once in nine attempts over this seven-furlong journey and will be at peak fitness now fourth-up from the spell. Gets the services of gun hoop Wiggins in the saddle and should be right there when the whips are cracking. ARAMINTA (3) put back-to-back wins together before not being disgraced in town at the latest effort. Will find this task easier, gets some weight off with the claim and draws the inside marble. Ticks a few boxes. DON'T DISS AROUND (1) has a handy record at this circuit with a win and four placings from just six spins. Cannot be discounted lightly. FORT WILLIAM (5) loves this course and distance with a win and a second from two efforts. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 4,3,1,5. |

LVTC 2025 MELBOURNE CUP CALCUTTA 2ND NOVEMBER TICKETS ON SALE NOW Class 1 Handicap 1100m
Wise Choice to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. DAZZLING DIAMOND (5) is a consistent conveyance who has only missed the top-four once in eight career starts and doesn't know how to put in a poor one. Gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and should be right there at the business end. GOLD FEVER (1) resumes here but the form he showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this calibre. Can run a big race while fresh. WISE CHOICE (8) has placed around this circuit and gets the reliable Webster/Tilley combination. One of the better hopes. SPIRIT OF NURAI (7) is another resuming but has placed two of four when first-up. Respect any market confidence. BOMBISCUIT (10) next in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Dazzling Diamond. |

2025 MELB CUP CALCUTTA TICKETS ON SALE NOW LOCKYERVALLEYTURFCLUB.COM.AU RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1400m
Strong tempo assured from Beat Hollow and Platinum Gift leading the charge. PLATINUM GIFT (2) has gotten better with each run this time in work and looks to be building up to another victory. Ready for the step-up in trip now and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. BEST COFFEE (1) is one from one over this course and distance and has been just behind the placegetters of late. No reason why he cannot find winning ways. BEAT HOLLOW (4) gets a stack of weight relief with the 4kg claim and maps ideally from gate two. Top-three candidate. WANT TO BE PROUD (3) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and is a must for the multiples. GERRY'S PICK (7) broke the maiden status at the latest effort and will have taken some confidence from that victory. Can go right on with the job now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Gift to salute. |

BOOK YOUR CORPORATE XMAS PARTY TRACKSIDE SUNDAY 21ST DECEMBER RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1400m
Solid tempo with Whistlin' Ruler leading from Yeah Copy and Forebears. Open race to close out the card. YEAH COPY (3) has placed five from seven over this track and trip and will be rock-hard fit for this contest. Drawn to get a gun run in transit from the inside alley and looks very hard to toss in this line-up. RESOLUTE LADY (7) is a bit hit or miss but saves her best form for this circuit and rates a genuine top-three prospect on the back of her most recent performance. Former NSW galloper SWEETPEA MOOCHI (2) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out but will find this easier than what he faced down south. Top-three commodity. PRETTY LITTLE LASS (8) will be at peak fitness now and can improve sharply on recent efforts. MILAGRO (11) strips fitter second-up from the spell and may trouble the judge with any luck in running. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Yeah Copy. |
